Classic Pizza — Restaurant in Marlborough

In Massachusetts, employers must disclose service charges to customers. This can be done in a number of ways, including on the menu, on a sign, or verbally by a server. This place used to be owned by Costa. I think they sold it. 2 things : food is no longer the same , with smaller portions and poor quality. AND 2nd they are adding gratuity to the bill . No matter the size of your party . With that being said. We always tip our server. Now this new service charged was added without our knowledge. The server now sits around and no longer is pleasant . We needed to call our server many times because he would just sit around and talk to people. He was not pleasant at all . So I understand adding gratuity but please have signs warning people or add a note to your menu. Also the service is now very poor so pay your server right so they can continue to offer good service. The food was amazing. Delicious fish and chips, followed by, small cheese pizza, which was great! The service? Hard to say. We didn't feel welcome. The girl seemed to be annoyed just by her facial expression. She was nice, but you can just tell that she doesn't want to assist us with the orders. I don't really care if we are surrounded by too many people, but the front was packed with a lot of employees that made us feel claustrophobic. They seemed to just be hanging, not working. We were happy to taste new restaurants, but their hostility, is not right. Extremely upsetting and disappointing. Perhaps it will be the first time and last time we go there. We didn't even get attended when we were done by the waitress. We waited and waited, no show up. I had to get up and let know we were done. The gentleman was nice but, seriously? 2nd time I order in less than a week.Timing is excellent!Prices are great!No charge on delivery and $7 minimun which rarely exists and the lady that answers the call...very polite.Good pizza also.Love this place.It's my 1st delivery choice.👍Update:August/8/2/2022 Called a few months later and knowing that most places have go up prices after inflation, now on top fo prices going way up Classic Pizza is charging delivery which sound fair but also charging $1 extra for paying with bank or credit cards.That really upsets me as they use to be one of the best places to order pizza as they were in my opinion the cheapest and closest to where I live(a min away in car).No customer should pay for using their card specially when they preferred to not have cash on them.Don't know if it change from owner but adding too many charges at once is not good and sound greety.Just sad as this place was one of...
