Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Marlborough

Most frustrating experience ever! Walked in and they announced they were taking cash only right now. Since it’s 2021, I didn’t have cash on me. I decided to place an online order instead of going to the ATM and waiting back in line.. big mistake. I placed my online order where it confirmed pickup in 15 mins.. given the state of the line and low staff, I had the expectation it may actually take 20-25 mins.. no big deal, I still felt it was the better option than driving to an ATM and coming back to stand in the long line during lunch rush. I waited in my car and went inside when my receipt said the order would be ready. 40 minutes later (so now 55 mins since placing my order and watching everyone I line get their orders prioritized), I asked for a status check for my online order, in which I got quite a rude response with attitude stating “they’re making it right now.” I said thank you, I’m sorry for the hassle. I waited another 15 mins and watched as ~20 more people in line got their orders before me, including online orders that were placed way after mine. I finally got my order after having to ask for a status check again. Then they rushed and scrambled to put something in my bag and I left. A 15 minute car ride later and I open the 2 subs and it’s nothing of what I ordered. UGHHHHH. To say a refund is warranted is an...

I wish I could review the food separate from the eat-in experience.

The food is good, especially the cold subs, which taste so much like they did where I grew up. A taste of home. Yum. Cheese steaks are pretty good.

We've ordered take out several times, but we were driving by tonight and thought we'd just stop and eat in.

Mistake.

At 7 p.m., with very few customers in house, tables were unwiped and uninviting.

When the fountain ran out of one kind of soda, they simply slapped an "out of order" sign on it.

We asked for some ketchup, and they gave us some packets.... Which were actually stuck together with some kind of brown gunk. Yuck.

And, the female staff member looked really put out at any request for anything. I don't know what her problem was tonight, but I wish she hadn't made it mine.

In Marlborough for work and we don't have a Jersey Mike's back home. I'm not much on chain restaurants anymore but Jersey Mike's is good. It doesn't matter what Jersey Mike's that you go to, the quality control is always there which makes every Jersey Mike's consistent in expectation, but with that consistency brings uninspiring flavor. It's good, not great. This location was extremely clean, the kids working behind the counter were efficient, quick, and very polite which are all things I appreciate. I got the a regular Super Sub, #5, and a drink for a little over $11. Decent sub, pricey but they don't skimp on the meat. It's definitely way better than any Subway which is by far at the bottom of...
