Alright, let me just say this: I wasn’t planning to fall in love with a pizza. I walked into Rize Pizza hungry. I walked out emotionally attached.
I’ve eaten pizza across continents — Naples, New York, small-town pizzerias in Rome, and even random late-night spots in Munich and Dubai. I thought I had a pretty high bar. Then Rize stepped in, handed me a slice, and gently shattered all my assumptions.
The crust? Unreal. Light, airy, almost cloud-like — but with a satisfying crisp that says, “Yeah, I’ve been in a proper oven.” It doesn’t sit in your stomach like a brick. It floats, like it knows it’s better than most carbs and doesn’t need to prove anything.
Toppings? Balanced. Nothing over the top. Nothing trying too hard. Every bite just makes sense — like the ingredients actually talked things through before showing up together.
The vibe? Warm and unfussy — like your friend who always makes the best food but swears “it was nothing.” The staff are genuinely kind, not just “I have to smile for tips” kind. You can feel the pride in what they serve.
If you’re a crust-leaver, prepare to be converted. At Rize, you’ll eat the whole thing, then regret not ordering a second pie just for yourself.
This isn’t just excellent pizza. It’s the kind that reminds you why you fell in love with pizza in the first place.
Go. Eat. Feel feelings. Rize is that good.
Pro tip: I popped in on a Tuesday and discovered they do these wild, limited-run creations that you won’t find on the regular menu. Think inventive, chef-driven pies that still respect the craft. If you’re into trying something new (and delicious), Tuesdays are...
Read moreI've tried many different pizza places in the Media area and haven't found pizza better than this. Their rize crust pizzas are great and thick but I normally opt for the regular crust. I've been getting a pizza here every weekend for the past 6 months and I don't expect to change pizza places.
The reason why I can't in good conscience give a 5 star rating is that there are a lot of mistakes when the head lady isn't there. I was double charged once (online and in person), they tried to double charge me two more times which I caught beforehand, and many other times things were missing from the order that I either reminded them while I was there to pick it up or I didn't realize it was missing until I got home. I've probably spent $10+ extra on sauces for my wife's wings that I never got. One time they forgot the extra hot sauce and gave us nonspicy wings instead of spicy that we ordered. It was a depressing day for my Korean wife. I'd say there's about a 75% chance that something will be screwed up in the order when the head lady isn't handling the order and 0% when she is.
Updating review to 5 stars as the establishment has been getting my orders correct for the past 6+ months...
Read more*Update: *We went back to Rize on 2 occasions and had consistent and delicious pizza! Super thin crust and perfect cheese and sauce, they make a great pizza. The cheesesteak is one of our favorites too. Adding it back to our list of favorites. Former review: Here's the thing about this place... when it's "on" the pizza is fabulous, when it's not, you will be disappointed. I'm guessing the inconsistency is due to who is working that day. I Love, Love their delicious thin crust pizza when it's made the way it's supposed to be made, but when it's not, it's a real miss. We have had dried out pizza (made me question the freshness), too thick or uneven thickness of the crust, too much crust (4 inches in spots) about every third time we have ordered here. I have tried to work out the day I should order the pizza so I get their amazing version, but I haven't figured it out yet and I think I'm done trying! I wish they were consistent, we would order here all the time. The cheesesteak is the bomb when the roll is fresh... I want this place to win, unfortunately I will have to pass, too much money (and disappointment) for a...
