The best cocktails in Marquette! After visiting multiple bars, I was forming the conclusion that this town knows how to make beer and nothing else. Thankfully, the Crow's Nest actually puts some craft into their drinks and offers a nice variety of house drinks, a couple tiki drinks, and the classics. The venue has a great view over Lake Superior, though unfortunately it faces opposite the bar. It can also be pretty crowded and the acoustics aren't great in the venue, which can make live music a mixed bag. Also in an odd choice they included a F. Scott Fitzgerald quote about drinking on their menu... he suffered from very destructive alcoholism so I thought it was a little tacky to have that.

I love that they have a “cocktail of the moment”! Every time I have visited, these have never steered me wrong. The cocktail today was the Spring Forward which was incredible. It’s been such a dreary day but then I come up to the Crow’s Nest and get treated with this springy, refreshing, and cheerful libation. Addison took care of me today and he was calm, grounded, and helpful. I feel uplifted and am reminded spring is coming! I know, all from a cocktail and good service….. who knew?! 💕

I'm going to tell you a secret the locals know. This bar is a hidden 💎 located in the historic Landmark Inn Hotel. Found on the 6th floor of the hotel, it has amazing views of lower harbor/ Lake Superior. Great cocktails, and I hesitate to say this, they also have a strong bourbon selection. Blantons, Eagle Rare, Weller, Old Forester, etc. Order the Old fashioned and have them smoke it. You can thank me later..

This hidden gem has so much potential. The elements are sort of there but they lost me on two fronts.

The cheese plate they presented was a complete joke. They give you a wedge of unimpressive brie, three slices of a forgettable cheddar, and some simple salami.

The “Manager” of the nest seems to have forgotten his people skills or he just simply lacks them. Idk why he is in charge…

The two stars come from their shining star Hannah. Honestly, I would never even consider coming back if wasn’t for having a wonderful conversation with her. She should be...
