McDonald's — Restaurant in Marshalltown

Today june 1st 2024 at 10:30pm I was the second of the only 2 cars in drive through. I'm in the second line waiting for the car in the first line to finish. I'm then ignored while they take the next 5 orders in the first line. People are lined up behind me. The cars behind me and myself pull around and we shout to the open first window that we've been waiting. I then pull around to the first line behind 3 other cars. I finally get to the speaker and mind you 10 cars that all arrived after me have ordered at this point, I'm then put on hold while they start taking the second lines order... almost 20 minutes after I was second of the only 2 people waiting did I finally place my order after 11 others that came after me had gone already. Then I get to the window where a teenager has about 15 cups, asks me what I ordered to drink, which is a diet dr pepper. I'm not handed a drink... he waits 15 min till my order is ready then hands me a cup with no ice because it all melted and a straw which the wrapper had dissolved to the straw making it a pain to unwrap. Then of course the soda wasn't even a diet dr pepper, it was a regular coke. I already hated Marshalltown, I had yet to find a decent place to eat here and this just solidified that opinion. What a great way to spend 35 min and 20 bucks in a drive through that again I was second...

I ordered the chicken nugget special ( 10 pc, med fry, med diet drink and a McDonald's double cheese with lettuce) I got part of my order, which was ( luke warm fry, the chicken nuggets (luke warm) I did NOT receive my diet drink, nor the mc double with cheese and lettuce only. 11.12 total payment. I went back thru the drive thru and showed them my receipt and what I had in my sack and they told me to pull up and someone would bring me the rest of my order. I waited and watched 15 cars go thru the drive thru before I went into the building and they had NO CLUE that I had been sitting in my car waiting for the rest of my order. FINALLY, after 1 trip back thru the drive thru and sitting in my car for 8 minutes then waiting another 4 minutes for my order to be brought out to my car, it still took 2 trips back in to get my drink. I was from out of town so I got back on the highway (decided to pull off the road to check my bag and STILL had the wrong order. I got someone else's order. I wasted $ 11.12 at Marshalltown McDonalds to get 1 drink, med fry and a reg hamburger. So for $11.12 I got from your store cold nuggets, cold fries and a child's hamburger. That sucks. No more mc...

If you're wanting something fast. Go somewhere else.. it always takes more than 30 minutes to even get your order taken through drive. Workers are always giving attitude. The ice cream machine NEVER seems to be working EVER.. It took 20 minutes to even get my order taken for one iced caramel coffee with a shot of espresso, and it took even longer since it kept getting messed-up. Asked for a large iced caramel coffee the girl out large frappe, I corrected her and she put a medium iced caramel coffee and told me they couldn't add the shot of espresso. Pulled up to the window was getting charged for 2 iced coffees.. fixed my order there but the boy was kinda rude once he handed me the receipt. Got to the 2nd window waited 5 minutes before someone even got there and told me to pull forward, I waited for 10 minutes and I never got my drink. I ended up leaving because I was upset because somehow the 2 cars behind me were able to get their food and drinks before I could even get my one coffee.. this is the first time I've EVER left a review anywhere.. and I'm only doing it because this is not the first time I go through trouble for a simple order at this McDonald's. I don't know why I even bother...
