As an international student from India, I hold my cultural and religious values close to my heart, especially when it comes to food. Growing up in a traditional Hindu family, avoiding non-vegetarian food has always been an integral part of my life. With this in mind, I visited Biryani Barbeque, hoping to enjoy a vegetarian meal that aligns with my beliefs. Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing and distressing, and I feel compelled to share my concerns.
I had ordered the Veg 555 Biryani, a popular vegetarian dish I was eager to try. However, when the dish arrived, I was shocked to find that it was not vegetarian at all. Instead, what was served to me was Chicken 555 Biryani. I immediately brought this to the attention of the restaurant staff, expecting a simple resolution or an apology. To my utter disbelief, they insisted that it was indeed Veg 555, despite the clear presence of chicken in the dish. Their reluctance to address my concerns and correct the mistake left me feeling helpless and frustrated.
I understand that mistakes can happen, but what truly upset me was the blatant disregard for my dietary restrictions and cultural values. As someone who has refrained from consuming non-vegetarian food for years due to religious reasons, the thought of having unintentionally eaten chicken left me disturbed. It was not just a culinary mistake—it felt like a violation of my trust and a disrespectful disregard for my personal beliefs.
This experience has deeply affected me, and I find it hard to come to terms with what happened. After years of adhering to my religious principles, I now feel conflicted and disheartened by the situation. The restaurant’s lack of empathy and unwillingness to make amends has only added to my distress. It’s not just about the food; it’s about the principle of respecting each customer’s choices and values.
I hope that Biryani Barbeque takes this feedback seriously and ensures that such incidents do not happen again. It is essential for restaurants to respect the dietary and religious preferences of their customers, and this experience has left me hesitant to trust their offerings in the future. For anyone with specific dietary restrictions or cultural sensitivities, I would advise caution when...
Read moreThe worse Indian restaurant in whole of st.louis. I’ve visited this place for 4-5 times in a hope if it has got better but I was clearly wrong. I’m dropping this review on my 6th visit. The food just gets worse and worse each time. We ordered Mandi there were no nuts or onion, the chicken was under cooked and the goat was nothing but full of pepper even for that we had to wait 30mins. We also order a platter which took 45mins, we had to take it Togo because we had no time. All the pieces were under cooked despite of 45mins. The chicken was so raw that even the marination was not cooked. And the toilets, you’ll see the worse toilets in whole of Missouri in this restaurant, a man from kitchen staff walks out and uses ladies room and comes out even without flushing and you will see pee on the floor it’s so disgusting imagine you have to walk into this toilets after eating food. And the waitresses clearly don’t appreciate the job, they behave so unwelcoming and unapproachable. A customer has to feel bad to ask for something for the way they make the faces and react on asking something. I would never visit this restaurant or anything that has to deal this with. Absolutely ridiculous.
I would like to ask one question to whoever the owner is. Would you appreciate this kind of food, atmosphere, service and toilets if you...
Read moreThis is the worst experience we had in Biryani and Barbecue. My friend ordered chilly fish and discussed about how they can make it as per her taste. And what happened, they gave chilli chicken to someone who won’t eat chicken and without even reading my friend started eating it. Once she realized it was not fish, she asked them that it is chicken but I ordered fish. They started saying that she ordered chicken and not fish, what a bluff, how can someone who doesn’t eat chicken order it. It was clearly their mistake and they are not ready to accept it, she politely asked to replace it with fish and still they disagreed. The main thing is, the owner was sitting right beside watching all this and she was so rude and arrogant that she said not to replace chicken with fish. What kind of a cheap attitude is this, how can any owner behave so cheaply. They should have at least used their common sense that why would someone who doesn't eat chicken order it. This cheap behavior which shows that they won’t care customer experience or satisfaction, just they serve what they like and be as eat...
