Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Maryland Heights

Really bad service today. Asked for their double for $5 and for them to make it a combo. They asked what drink I wanted. I let them know i wanted root beer with no ice and also a cake shake. Then asked for a side of gravy. They didnt read back order all they asked was that everything? I said yes. I get to the window and I'm handed my burgers and cake shake. Then handed a Dr. Pepper with ice. That's it. I told him this was wrong. No problem. Then I looked at my reciept. No combo found. I let the gentleman know. I handed back my card and told him I just want what I asked for. I also let him know about the side of gravy. They got me 2 large fries and handed them to me in a bag with my new reciept for two large fries. Then closed the window on me. I got his attention again and I let him know I still didnt get my side of gravy. He just said. O. Let me go get that. Then ran to the side and got me my gravy. How hard is it to take an order. Also there was only one other person behind me. My order was far from complicated. I wont be eating here again. O my new drink had ice. Even after them being told multiple times no ice. Lol.

I have been going here once a week for almost 15 years and this evening was a less than stellar experience. The pink-haired cashier was leaning on the register when we walked in and wouldn't even make eye contact nor greet us. The teenagers in the back prepping were goofing around despite the drive-thru line being wrapped around the building. I ordered 2 blizzards, one of them a Sea Salt Toffee Fudge. I was told (after the cashier checked with the crew) that it was no longer on the menu, but they could make it. The item is clearly listed on the billboard menu behind the cashier and I pointed it out. The other blizzard was a Choco Brownie Extreme. We ordered both "to go". They were brought out, basically melting, with no lids and handed to us. The Sea Salt Toffee Fudge had zero fudge because the pink-haired cashier didn't feel like writing that on the ticket. I am completely disappointed after spending almost $12 for two ice creams. Usually, we go during the afternoon and receive great service (because the owner is there). He wouldn't deal with this. I wish he could hire some decent help to work the evenings. Get rid of people who don't...

Great place with excellent food and ice cream. Order is always correct, food is always fresh and hot. If you are getting food for multiple people, though, they tend to bag everything separately, which is annoying. They bag every combo meal in a separate bag, and if it's a combo that has hot food and ice cream, that's 2 bags per combo. I'm usually getting lunch for my coworkers and myself when I go here, and when they bag everything separately like that it means I have to carry 8 bags and 4 drinks. I ask them to bag all the meals together so I don't have to carry 8 separate bags, but they still give me 8 separate bags every time. When I ask for a bigger bag to carry it all in they look at me dumbfounded. Had one employee tell me he wasn't allowed to give me a bigger bag. Had another put my bags in a big cardboard box he pulled from the back of the store. Again, the food is great here, and that's why they're getting 4 stars, but I can't give that 5th star because they won't just bag all the food together like I ask and I can't carry 8 bags...
