Maryland Heights Imos has terrible service. I ordered my delivery at 1:05pm with a quote time of 2:05pm and just now returned home with my food. At 3:30pm! I live roughly 2 minutes from the restaurant and Yelp states that typically this is a slow time at this location. Apparently that is not the case today.
The representative was at least apologetic when I called after an hour and 45 minutes and said my order was already in route, but did not offer a future discount or to refund my order. When I said I would request one or the other if my food was poor quality, he said to wait until I received it and then call back if that was the case. When the driver arrived a full 15 minutes later (again I'm 2 minutes away from the restaurant) with completely cold food I refused it and said I would personally go and pick up the food after it had been remade. I obviously am not going to trust that it would be done right a second time. He simply said "ok". No apology of any kind.
The representative had said they were busy and that was the reason for the delay. When I arrived at the store there was not a single person there until shortly after I walked in. I guess he was speaking about delivery volume?
He said he had waived the 4 dollar delivery charge and it was the "least they could do" and apologized. Wow, yes that is in fact the least you could do considering my wasted time if you want to retain my business - which you didn't. I will drive further to a new location from now on.
All it would have taken is a courtesy call to let me know it would be a long time. I didn't even mind the wait - but don't try and give me a cold 35 dollar meal and then only take off my delivery fee when I graciously let your driver keep the 33% tip (it was cold outside and they are underpaid) and not demand that it be redelivered after abysmal service like that. I could just have easily demanded a refund and then ordered a carryout from another location for a third of the price - which I will certainly do now. Read moreThis is absolutely the WORST imo's in Saint Louis! Just moved into a new home today 8/7/16 and was exhausted from unpacking all day. Figured we would give this Imo's a chance since we're new to the area and never ordered here. NEVER AGAIN. The "manager" Lawrence answered the phone sounding irritated that we were placing an order around 11:20 when they close at 1:00. His responses were "mmhmm," "yup," etc. We had to repeat the address and the credit card information several times. Honestly he sounded high! Then, was told our food would arrive around 11:50-12:00 (30-45 mins). Lawrence calls back asking for the address again. At 12:30 we call to find out how much longer it would be and Lawrence tells us "he doesnt know." Instead of being apologetic Lawrence still has an attitude, refuses to rectify the situation and says "its not in the back so it "should" be on our way. Should be?! When we asked the name of a supervisor or district manager, Lawrence refused to provide it. On top of that, after waiting over an hour for one pizza, he LAUGHS at the fact that we are frustrated. The pizza arrives and although the driver was nice, the pizza was cold. We didnt even eat it. I understand being busy but there is never an excuse for being rude, nonchalant, and completely unphazed by those who are PAYING YOU for a service! Especially as a manager! I work for a company nearby with lots of customers asking me what food places they should check out in the area (daily). I will make sure to go out of my way to tell ALL of them not to bother ordering from Dorsett Imo's! The square beyond compare? Try lack-luster customer service...

This should be a NO STAR review. We ordered via phone at 7pm and used a credit card. An our later, they called and said the card didn't go through. Thinking there was an issue with thr card, we used a different one. They said that card didn't go through and put us on hold. After a series of long waits when we called and hangup from the worker taking orders and a manager named Fernando, we discovered holds on both cards for the amount. They demanded another card or cash payment and said it would be at least anothet hour and hung up on us again, refusing to refund our cards. At this point it had been three hours. We placed a call to corporate but habe not heard back. I called the next day and a different manager was very nice but said there had been no orders that matched the cost or itemw we ordered. Since there are still charges on both cards and because they kept demanding different card information, this seems like an orchestrated scam by the night shift to take credit card information. Nobody at this business can or is willing to seriously address or take care of this huge problem. While there are few places that deliver in the area, you are better off braving the traffic to go elsewhere. Avoid this place at all costs.
