Soda Fountain Express — Restaurant in Maryland Heights

Myself and one of my closest friends went to Soda Fountain Express less than 1 week after they opened. The moment I walked in, I absolutely loved the decor as it immediately made me think of a 1950s diner (which I absolutely love). Their menu isn't extensive, but you don't need a big menu to make good food. Their double cheeseburger was very good (think along the lines of Freddie's Steakburgers), and their fries were also very good and crispy. I love that they actually make cherry cola with actual cherry sauce (which, to me, is the best way to do it). The staff was incredibly friendly, considerate, checked on us multiple times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and to see if we needed anything else, and everyone had smiles. Before we left, we both got a dessert for the road. I had my first true chocolate malt, and my mind was completely blown. I will most definitely come back again. I give Soda Fountain Express 2 thumbs up.

We just had lunch at The Soda Fountain Express Westport and it was very tasty! A shout out to Michaela, the manager for making sure our first experience was one that made sure we’d be coming back. We ordered their bacon sandwich along with a single cheeseburger and crinkle fries, but being a chocoholic, we added the chocolate malt shake and that was really creamy and delicious. My bacon sandwich had plenty of Applewood bacon on it with just the right amount of tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise to add to the taste. My husband had the cheeseburger, which he said was very juicy and had a good flavor to it. We went at the tail end of what I consider lunchtime, so it wasn’t really busy, and our meal was served within minutes, hence the “express” part of the name! Prices, in my opinion, were really inexpensive. All in all, a very good experience and we will be back.
