My youngest wanted chips and cheese, so we ordered it from the appetizers (along with fried pickles and a half order of boneless hot wings) ... We received our appetizers within 5 minutes of ordering which was awesome! The fried pickles were fresh, my oldest said his hot wings were great, but my little barely touched his chips and cheese! I tried them myself to see what the problem was ... and the cheese was COLD! Like opened a can of nacho cheese, mixed some stuff in it (unsure what it was but it was red and green) then served it up without even warming it up at all! The chips were home made which I thought was great but the seasoning put on them was not something my little enjoyed! I notified the waitress about the issues, she apologized and said she would notify the kitchen. During this time we ordered our main food ... My oldes ordered a bacon cheeseburger, my little ordered a bacon hamburger, and I ordered a philly cheese wrap ... It took quite a long time to receive our actual dinner. Close to 45 minutes if not longer! When the food arrived, my oldest went to put ketchup on his burger and that's when I noticed the big nasty pile of what was supposed to be cheese on top of his burger. It kind of looked like shredded cheese that was put in a pile and half melted and it turned into this clumpy mass of grease ... my oldest attempted to eat it but ended up scraping the cheese off just to be able to eat a few bites! In the end he just packed it up in a to go box and brought it back to out hotel! My wrap was VERY thin ... like next to nothing in it! The menu said the steak and cheese wrap came with peppers and onions in it, but mine definitely did not! My littles plain bacon burger came out ok though a little over cooked and dry! When the bill came the total was OVER $70 and not a thing was comped! Half the food we purchased went in the trash because it just wasn't good ... I am very disappointed in choosing this restaurant to eat! If all you were going for was drinks (My kids ordered rootbeer and it was made in St Louis and came in bottles, the boys LOVED IT) and Appetizers (for the most part) it would be great, but that's all I could recommend!

I need to give a huge shout out to Kris Hansford and Alyssia who work at Trainwreck Saloon at Westport. They helped turn a sad day into a beautiful day and I couldn’t have done it without their help. On January 27th we celebrated my son’s 21st birthday. I came up with the brilliant plan to have dinner at Trainwreck, then go to a comedy show at Funny Bone, and end the night at Westport Social. All of these places are within walking distance of each other so I knew I wouldn’t have a bunch of young adults driving around after a few drinks. I contacted Trainwreck to see if I could reserve for 15-20 people. Kris was my main point of contact. She sounded like it may be difficult to do on a Saturday night, but she’d do her best. Not only did she do her best, she exceeding my expectations. She figured out a way to add more tables when several (almost 10) extra people showed up. She even nicely moved a group that somehow ended up in our reserved area. She was spectacular. Then there was Alyssia, who served our group of about 27 people in a very prompt and polite manner. All of our drink orders were accurate. All of our food orders were accurate. Our checks came quickly. I can’t rave enough about the wonderful service she gave us, all on her own. Unfortunately, my son wasn’t there to enjoy the celebration. He died on March 21, 2023 at 20 years old, but I wanted to celebrate the day like he would have wanted and like he was still here with us. Kris and Alyssia helped make that happen and I am SO thankful for them. So, if you ever need a night out or have a little gathering planned, please consider Trainwreck Saloon.

I used to love this place but it seems to have slowly gone downhill. Today I got the full size ‘Wreck Caesar’ to go and was extremely disappointed. First, there was hardly enough to classify it as a half size (1st pic). When you eat this in restaurant it’s a deep large bowl filled to the brim, so a hardly filled to go box simply wont cut it - especially for a dish that costs $13 and some change. Second, what in the heck is going on with the Parmesan cheese? There were mountains of it making it nearly impossible to taste anything else. If usually just take some out, but unfortunately for me, I didn’t notice it hiding under the lettuce right away and was not able to scoop it out before it was mixed into the dressing 😩 I still gave it 3 stars because the chicken was (as always) on point and if it weren’t for the overwhelming presence of Parmesan monopolizing my taste buds, I could’ve definitely forgiven the rest bc of the chicken. Anyway... what a bummer. Ill likely give them one more try bc it’s so conveniently located, but I will definitely check the box before leaving if taking it to go or dine in.

We came to dine in on Thursday 5/16 approx 4:30 pm. Not busy. Upon being seated our waitress was immediately off her game. Was robotic, rude. We ordered cheeseburgers and wings. She asked how we wanted the burgers and said “we have rare, medium and well”. We asked for medium well and we said slight pink ok but no blood and waitress said twice more “we have rare, medium and well”. No room for negotiation/questions. We said “well” then but said hopefully won’t be burnt/dry and once again repeated herself with her choices”. Got the wings and they were all drummies..no flats so I asked her why no flats and she said that we “didn’t have a choice..that’s how they came”. She continued to be rude and uncooperative with our questions etc. I asked another waitress that we wanted to speak to a mgr and had to ask twice and mgr just kept walking by until I flagged him over. His name was Shane and appeared very nice. After explaining our experiences and getting our burgers which were dry and burnt he seemed apologetic and said he would talk to waitress later but agreed about burgers and how the waitress also lied about not having the type bread we wanted along with other questions we had asked her (didn’t get her name 😩). He then asked if he could give us another order of wings to go and came back with only 4 flats! Only 1/4 of our order! Finally got bill and was for $48 before tax!!! We called him over again and said we didn’t even eat 75% of burgers and showed him…he saw they were burnt and still wanted us to pay $48! I was so angry and BP rising as he said all he could do was take off 1/2 of one burger! I told him all I ate was the salad and we weren’t going to pay for burgers and he kept saying next time we come in to ask for him and he would take care of us. I then asked what he meant and he replied “I’ll make sure your meal is perfect”..that’s it! We used to love this place but will never go back and he ended up being a jerk who would rather lose customers then make things right! Horrible experience and ruined our evening! Hubby ended up just paying in cash for just wings and left! Shane was a fake and horrible manager who just jerked us around! 😡😡😡 UPDATE:: TO TOP IT OFF I WOKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WITH FOOD...
