Beware the Firenze (and I expect other models) jackets are very slim fit and run small. I would size up. I wear a large in every brand chef jacket except this one. The other two jackets in my order did not fit my colleague, either.
They don't accept returns on the C-You accents, which I learned the hard way - a $288 lesson.
Quality of the jackets seem OK, though the Firenze feels a bit thin, but serviceable (you can easily read TShirts through it). Since there's no underflap on the front, it's a bit awkward to button it up on the side, but I would expect you would get used to it.
Shipping was fast. I would order a sample model with absolutely no embroidery or C-You, try it for fit, then return it and get the coat you want. With this company, you'll be returning everything at your cost, so factor that in to the price.
Edit: The company responded to my review to point out that the website indicates you can't return C-You items. Indeed, it does. They also stated that the website indicates multiple times "French Sizing runs small," which is a partial truth. On their main sizing page, this warning is simply not there. I was able to find the warning listed on each jacket's page after you click the "sizing guideline" link.
In either case, the chart says L is a 44" chest size. My chest is 44" with two shirts on, and this jacket doesn't fit. I think I've narrowed down the problem to a sizing discrepancy on the website - the sizing charts show L chest size as 44" but the drop down box on the jacket's ordering page shows L as 40/42, which it think is more accurate, and why everything else I buy that's 44" fits, but not from...
Read moreLauren the front office representative is a fantastic at her job. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable with proper sizing as well as design fitting knowledge. I had the privilege of being local and stopping in to try their coats and pants and everything about this company is very impressive and professional. I recently lost over 118lbs and was unsure to what size I would need and rest assured they were all patient, understanding and found exactly what sizes I needed. Professional, courteous, polite staff in the office as well. The sizing does run slightly more “fit” as the designs are from Europe/France so if you’re in the area of the greater St. Louis region, this is where you’ll want to go and who you’ll surly want to call regardless. If you’re ordering online I would suggest ordering a size up in pant and possibly two sizes up for those with broader shoulders looking to buy coats. Thank you all at the St. Louis location for reminding me the true hospitality spirit and making me feel welcome and most importantly...
Read moreClement is possibly the only brand of chef jacket I will wear from this point forward. I first purchased their Firenze jacket, and I was pretty blown away by their customer service. It was embroidered on the left collar instead of the right, which really wasn't a big deal but I decided to let them know anyway. They sent me a brand new jacket and told me to keep both of them. I was really impressed with that.
Not long after, I ordered their C-1 jacket. I had never spent that much on a chef jacket before, and it was 100% worth every penny. This jacket is seriously badass. I walk into work knowing I look great, and that makes me feel great too. I also love the Hybrid technology it uses. The sleeves and sides are a super soft and high quality breathable performance fabric, whereas the front is a cotton/poly blend for durability and handling spills. Not to mention the pen pocket on the front yoke, no one else has...
