I want to start off by paying respect to the Pietrobono Brothers for being such amazing visionaries and bringing another incredible restaurant to Bethesda, thank you. I also can’t forget Donnie, the man, the myth and the legend who tends bar at this amazing establishment. This place is fun, the food is amazing and the staff are great! It offers indoor and outdoor dining along with bar seating. The food is really outstanding but this shouldn't be a surprise if you have eaten at Gringos & Mariachis or Olazzo. They all share the same quality with their own unique twist of atmosphere and taste. For appetizers I would recommend the wings, buffalo brussel sprouts or meatball sliders. For entrees try anyone of their pizzas because they are all very good or the zucchini noodles with meatballs and the chicken piccata. Honestly i feel like you can order anything on the menu and you will be completely satisfied with it. It's a great little spot that has a wonderful atmosphere. So just go get a drink with Donnie and...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I went in to grab a pizza to go. I stepped into the restroom while she waited at the bar and ordered a beer. The manager or owner lady asked for her ID. When I returned she had just come back and told her she refused to serve her because she had a license from another state. We asked why and she rudely said, "It's my prerogative. Montgomery County has strict rules." We were embarrassed and highly upset. We informed her that it was a real ID and you can call the police to check if you don't believe us. We decided we didn't want to give them any business and walked out immediately.
Being almost 30 yrs old and having this disrespect occur towards us was embarrassing. We heard rave reviews about this place, hoping our first time would be great but now we refuse to go. We told our friends what happened and they won't be going either.
You need to learn how to read a real ID or invest in an ID scanner because the DC area is a hub for people from...
Read moreOur go to place for pizza! We also love the salads, potato wedges and everything else we have tried.
Over the summer the kids and I picked dinner up but I accidentally parked far away due to one of the streets being closed. It was so hot out, I had a full, hot tea from Starbucks and my 2 & 4 year old kids with me. We picked up the food from Alatri Bros and all together it was a lot to carry/manage (completely my fault). The staff at Alatri Bros was very kind and sincerely offered to walk all the way to the car with us - so nice! - but I declined because it really was far away.
Then, I forgot my tea and realized when we were already a block away. Given I had my hands full I was sadly going to chalk it up as a loss when I hear the bartender calling after me with my tea!! Incredibly thoughtful, above & beyond, the most lovely employees.
We already loved Alatri Bros for their delicious food and now we love them for their...
