Arby's — Restaurant in Maryland

When it comes to Arby's, I usually just swing by to get the things I like most on their menu, which are the onion rings, Jamocha Shake, and jalapeno poppers. Other than that...eh. I have gone to this location before but it was always to just purchase those particular items. Yesterday, my son and I wanted to grab something to eat, and he didn't care to walk and eat (like I usually do) so we decided to dine in.

I never had an issue with the quality of whatever I ordered in the past, and yesterday was no exception. Unfortunately, the only issues I had with this location is how dirty the condiments/utensils/ soda fountain area and dining areas were. What made it so bad was that there were barely any customers there. There were only four patrons in the entire restaurant at that time, and the place was inexcusably dirty...even the register area needed some wiping down! Maybe we just missed a mad rush of people that came through which was HIGHLY unlikely, being that this particular location is NEVER, EVER busy! It has the misfortune of sitting next to a popular, well run, clean, and consistently busy Chick Filet A!

Everything was sticky, i.e., the chairs, tables, and condiments' handles. The floors had a gritty sensation to them and the windows needed cleaning.That day I felt adventurous and ordered some sliders, and they were actually good, and more importantly (for me), hot!

I hope that's not the norm. This location really does get it right when it comes to the quality of the food, but I'm one of those people who really don't care to eat at an establishment who put little effort in the cleanliness of its facility (for health concern reasons!).

East Point Arby's, if you're up against the highly patronized Chick Fil A next door, DOGGONNIT,...

My husband and I usually go to Arbys at least once a month. Yesterday was not a good experience. We went through the drive through and my husband gave the order. Silence. Finally, the girl said, 'Could you give me that order again?" (it was only for two roast beef sandwiches, two large orders of potato cakes and an orange shake) So we did. Then we waited a little bit before we were given the price. Then we pulled up to pay. That took a few minutes because the one girl was talking to a guy (a worker). At one point, we heard him say, " I can slap you with my left hand". I don't know if he was joking, or repeating something else someone said, but it sure is not language I want to hear. The girl came to the window and we gave her our card. She held onto it for a while so she could continue talking. Finally, she swiped it and we waited and waited and waited. Now we know when we order potato cakes we always have to wait but I would guess this was between 6 and 10 minutes. Meanwhile the girl and the guy were continuing to talk, never once did she say to us, your order is coming or anything to make us think she cared. Finally we got the food.The food was good as always. The service was unusually bad.This was on Eastern Avenue, the Arby's in Essex, Maryland. I am sure we will go again, but if this service continues we will have to find a different Arbys to go to...

First, when I paid, they had the registers apart and the girl gave my money to another member. I paid 15.59 and he didn't give change back. I had to wait for him to go back to her and " make sure " I was being truthful. Then my straw was cracked. My order comes and I leave to go home. I get home 15 minutes away and realize there is NO AUJUS dipping sauce for my half lb French sandwich ( THE WHOLE REASON TO ORDER this sandwich ....and the bigger version at that! ). Then I drove all the way back to the restaurant and tell them ... And they were like ok, I'll get you some dipping sauce. Not a single apology, no offer to remake my sandwich which was $10 because now it's cold..... And to top it off, my fries were only filled 3/4 of the way which I DID have to ask them to replace with a new order. Now I'm sitting home with a cold 1/2 lb sandwich, a half filled tub of the au jus sauce ( not enough for the larger sandwich ), and cold cheese for my fries ( which I paid extra for ).

..... I am definitely NOT happy. I've generally had decent experiences at other Arby's... This location is definitely sub par. Do yourself a favor and go to Chick Filet next door. Much...
