Dont normally like to put someone on blast.... But wow the general manager at this location is a bucket of trash. We walked in on a thursday night about 7 or 8 pm. The place was obviously in the mess of post dinner rush, which ive been in the service industry before so i understand. We are normally pretty chill customers so we went into the bar side to just sit at a high top. After finding 10 or 12 open tables there... Then realizing not a single one was bused and there was no staff whatsoever around except for a dude (who kind of looked like he worked there.... Or just bought a polo from the gift shop.... Couldnt really tell). At this point the rush had died down and it was maybe less than half the room was full.
So we cleared off a table and sat the old dishes and drinks on another table that wasnt bused either. After about another 10mins and no one has said anything, i grabbed us some menus. All the while dude (who ive now realized is some kind of manager) is wandering aimlessly and hanging out bsing with whoever he can find to listen to him. Think lost puppy looking for his owner (again later finding out this is the gm).
Finally a server comes who is obviously frazzled by the dinner rush so we put in a full drink and food order so she doesnt have to come back. 20 mins go by, we can see our drinks.... Waitress is a ghost... gm is still a lost puppy.... And we are surrounded by dirty tables.
The food runner though...... This dude was the best! Promote him to GM! He comes to our table, polite, respectful and extremely personable, drops off food.... Scratches his head and says "looks like somethings missing here" runs off to the bar grabs our drinks that had been sitting there for 10 mins and took care of grabbing anything else we needed. He was a rockstar!
Throughout dinner lost puppy is still wandering around changing tvs to just do something..... Pissing off many people cause all he was doing was changing tvs so he could more easily watch the game from where he was posting up to make sure the floor was stable where he was standing. Wish i had taken a picture cause at one point he changed the hockey game off one inbetween two screens with the bball game so that all three had it so he didnt have to move.... Lol you could see he was so proud of himself. Then this dude starts passing out coupons like he has santa and let us experience the greatest night of sports at the bdubs (btw the tables covered in dirty dishes are literally surrpunding us and at this point 3 other tables around us had bused their own tables to the collection tables for deads).
Ive been to bdubs a lot.... I really enjoy the place, atmosphere, literally ability to watch any sport you cant get at home... But this gm is trash and has to go. I feel bad for the employees since for him to go, the numbers have to suffer... Aka waiters and staff are gonna get hurt in the paycheck. GM get yourself together and learn how to manage your location so you employees dont have to suffer your incompentence.
P.s. im more than willing to come give ya some free lessons in coaching and management for wings.... Just throwing...
Read moreIt was hard to find someone to seat us, or to even figure out where we were supposed to go to find a host/ess. There was the take-out counter with a line…was I supposed to wait in line there? Couldn’t tell. We bumped around in the area until a waiter flew by, but I was able to stop him so I could ask what to do. He looked confused, probably thought I was an idiot, then said he would find someone to help me. He came back after a minute and led us to a table. We asked for a booth and he said he’d have to clean it. So he went and got a rag and wiped some of the crumbs off. I wiped crumbs off the bench so I could sit down. We waited a good 5 mins, at least, and said if he doesn’t come back within 2 minutes we’ll leave. A different guy finally came by. I think he was new. He spoke very quietly, like mumbling, and seemed unsure of the menu. It took a while to get answers to our questions, mostly because we couldn’t understand him. Long story short, the rest went about the same, with subpar service, although they were nice people, they meant well, they just weren’t very familiar with things. It took a while to get the food, and thanks to a well-timed visit, we were able to get a larger size beer for the price of a smaller one. Maybe it was a Wednesday night thing. They had different specials for each day. All in all, we probably won’t go back, but maybe it’ll get better as the new folks become more comfortable working there. Maybe everyone was new. Like I said, they were all very nice, so that part is great. It’s hard to find nice...
Read moreWhether it's inflation or what have you, I think Tyr price of BWW is too much for what it is worth. If you want wings and little else, you might be fine, but otherwise you will be put off by paying $10 for nothing more than soda and small fries. You'll find a wing flavor that you like. Some are too over-sauced, some can be too sweet, but overall there's a good variety in flavors, heats, and textures. Teriyaki, buffalo, asian zing, garlic parm, the classic ones are always good.
As for other affair, their burgers are decent, fries are below average. The chicken, considering it's the same as the wings, is really good too. Of the apps I'd say skip the nachos, they tend to come out more as just lightly-topped tortilla chips in my experience.
The place is big, so you never have to wait and the seats are comfortable, with a lot of tvs to watch if that interests you.
I will say though the costs for soda and side items is rather exorbitant. A glass of soda cost you $5, and you do get free refills but that is by far the most expensive cost for a soft drink I've ever seen in a restaurant. It's $5 for coffee as well, which is ridiculous. Especially in a place that serves alcohol and you would want to encourage someone to be sober making soda that pricey just seems insane. A family of four going out for dinner and not having any alcohol is going to spend as much on drinks as they do on food...
