INDIA GARDEN DELIVERS NOW! WOOHOO!
I love this place. I had my first taste of Indian food years ago while stationed on Guam and that particular restaurant had the best Indian food I've ever tasted. Since returning to the US, I've be searching for a restaurant that comes close. There are a few options in Harford and Baltimore County that are decent, but India Garden's food is consistently far better. Their Tikka Masala is amazing and I love their Lamb Curry. The lamb is always juicy and tender. For vegetarians, I cannot recommend the Dal Makhani enough, it's absolutely delicious. They're fairly generous with their spices, and I like a good bit of heat so I tend to order a 7. My coworker loves a lot of heat so he orders a 12 (yes, they'll go above 10 if you really want it).
For appetizers, I really like the Meat Samosas, and while the Paneer Pakora is good, the Chicken Pakora frankly blows it away. I'm not much of a fan of chicken usually, but this is one of those instances in which the spices make it irresistible. Their tomato soup is good, it's not as thick as some tomato soups, and it's got a decidedly Indian taste to it. If I get the tomato soup, I like to get it along with the Meat Samosas and crumble them into the soup, it's delicious!
I mostly eat carryout for lunch with my coworker, so I haven't spent a whole lot of time eating in the restaurant, but it's a great little place to dine, very clean, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Now that they deliver, I probably won't be seeing them as often (sorry!), but I'll have to dine in a bit more frequently.
"The other restaurant" nearby isn't bad, but India Garden blows them out of the water. If you're in Bel Air and you're looking for Indian food, this is where to go. I haven't eaten everything on their menu, but everything I've eaten has been consistently delicious.
Pictured below is today's lunch, tonight's dinner, and another couple meals after that: Lamb Tikka Masala (on the right) and Lamb Curry. Each come with one container packed full of rice. Generous portions, each one is at least two meals for me. Also pictured is the delicious Chicken Pakora, for size comparison the container is the same container that the...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at India Garden Restaurant, and it was an experience that left a lasting impression on my taste buds. From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant ambiance that exuded the essence of India.
The menu at India Garden offers a wide array of traditional Indian dishes, each prepared with utmost care and attention to detail. The flavors were robust, authentic, and truly transported me to the streets of India. The restaurant takes pride in using fresh, high-quality ingredients, and it showed in every bite.
One of the standout dishes I tried was the butter chicken. The tender chicken cooked in a rich and creamy tomato-based sauce was simply outstanding. It was perfectly balanced, and the blend of spices was spot-on. The naan bread served alongside was fluffy and accompanied the dish perfectly.
Another highlight was the biryani. The fragrant rice cooked with tender pieces of chicken and a medley of aromatic spices was a true delight. Each grain of rice was infused with flavor, and the dish had just the right amount of heat.
The service at India Garden was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure that my dining experience was memorable. They were more than happy to recommend dishes and accommodate any dietary preferences or restrictions.
The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, with subtle Indian motifs adorning the walls and tasteful lighting that created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The seating was comfortable, and the overall ambiance made for a pleasant and relaxed dining experience.
India Garden Restaurant offers an authentic taste of India that is sure to satisfy any lover of Indian cuisine. Whether you are a seasoned fan or new to this culinary journey, I highly recommend paying a visit. It is a fantastic place to enjoy a meal with friends, family, or even for a romantic dinner. Vibe: 4/5. Tucked away in a shopping center, India Garden is a cozy restaurant. The dining room is comprised of a dozen or so 2 tops with some pushed together as 4 tops. On the occasions we dined, there were groups of 6 or more, so they are more then happy to accommodate larger groups. The buffet is located in the back of restaurant with all food served in closed chaffing dishes. The restaurant also has a bar area which looks to have a small selection of wine.
Service: 5/5. Attentive and welcoming! Both times we visited, we were warmly greeted at door and seated immediately. Water cups and dirty plates were tended to quickly throughout the entire meal. Bonus points for what appeared to be the owner welcoming several customers by their first names as they stopped by for lunch. Always a good sign when restaurants have regulars.
Food: 5/5. The last time I dined at an Indian food buffet was before the pandemic, so I had high hopes for my lunch experience. Indian Garden did not disappoint! From the freshness and quality of the food to the vast selection of both vegetarian and non vegetarian choices, the spread is fantastic. When we visited, there were 8 main courses, fried appetizers such as samosas and poori, side items such as birani and buttered naan, a soup and 2 desserts. Main course highlights included the goat curry, saag paneer and the tandoori chicken. However, best in show of the entire meal is the hot and fresh poori. These little warm dough puffs will have you noshing on them throughout the...
