Jakes Wayback at one point was the best Resturant in town. Iām sad to say that now this is one of the worst. As i have been a customer for about a year it disappoints me how Iāve seen the āmangerā (shorter brown hair older lady) treat customers without respect. A few days prior to this review. I went into Wayback and she was on the phone at the register. She saw me and my spouse standing there and hung up the phone and walked away into the back. We then had to yell for another employee to take out order as we watched the āmanagerā go on her personal phone. Iāve read some other reviews about them and itās come to my attention that the employees arenāt treated as well as they should be either. I had attempted to give an employee a tip after not seeing a tip jar thatās always been there, they told me āi canāt take this or i will get firedā which in my opinion is completely controlling. Those employees have a right to accept them. The owners of this store, were in the store the last time i dined in. They both came in with the employees crowded around them and were yelling at them. This is not only wrong but it was in the middle of business hours when there focus should be on the customers. Not the issue they were trying to resolve. They had a very disrespectful tone towards the employees. This place is slowly loosing business and it seems to be none of the same employees. Itās obvious something is going on there. Iām sure this post will be deleted as they only allow good reviews on their site since Iāve seen many reviews not displayed after a few days. Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk, I hate leaving bad reviews but this one especially left a bad taste in my mouth. I went there today for the first time. I had drove 40 min to an appointment near them and Iāve been meaning to give them a try. So I said hey today is my day. It wasnāt. I ordered a double bacon burger, waited about 15 min and my order was ready. I decided to open my burger 20mins on the road. (I was starving okay? :D) NOT A SINGLE BACON in the burger. I said okay Iām starving and Iāll still eat the burger but this wasnāt what I PAID for. I call them and told them about the mistake and asked if I could get a refund.
Firstly, the manager told to come back in for a new one. I explained several times I donāt live over there and itās a long drive. Esp for a burger. Then she said I would have to bring the card on to swipe it for a refund. Again, i had to explain to her that I donāt live over there. Itās not a 3 mins drive itās a 40 min drive. Her tone made me feel like I was the one in the wrong. No you got my order wrong and I didnāt get what I paid for. Honestly I want to type some more but moral of the story. Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn my opinion, this place was a bit underwhelming. I do believe that the burgers are good and they have a vast amount of toppings to choose from but they are a bit dry and unseasoned. There have been numerous times where Iāve had to ask for salt to put on my burger because I donāt believe that they use any sort of seasoning. I feel like just a dash of salt and pepper would definitely do the trick for a lot of their food. The fries are always a missā they are usually soggy and again and seasoned. And for the price itās definitely not worth getting. The milkshakes arenāt the best either, so all in all this is not my number one choice around here for a burger. I will typically go to vagabond. I do like the Decor inside and the employees are pretty much always friendly. Not the worst option for convenience but not the best given the price & the taste.
UPDATE MAR 26: The management at Wayback Burgers in Bel Air, MD, is abysmal. Their racist and negligent practices are despicable. The food is beyond terrible, and the customer service is a joke. Corporate is lazy and incompetent, reflecting poorly on the entire chain. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy, let alone subject my dog to their food.
