The worst customer service experience we have ever had at Chick-fil-A was at this location today. We placed a curbside order and arrived to pick it up at 11:10. Waited in the car and watched several other cars pull up and get their meals right away. Multiple employees passed us sitting in the parking lot more than once and never stopped to ask if we needed assistance. After about 30 minutes of waiting, I had to flag someone down to get them to check on our order. He comes back out to inform us that they gave our order away to another customer. Then I have to go inside to place my order again and I’m told they will bring it right out. I was very uncomfortable going inside as I am 8 months pregnant and none of the staff were wearing masks (hence why we do curbside orders).
I go back out to the car and see two more cars pull up and receive their food before we got ours. You would think after that mistake our order would be given priority. My three year old daughter was whining at this point because we had been waiting for 45 minutes now. I go back in to ask for our food and they gave it to us without any sauce, no apology, and nothing complimentary to compensate for the wait and inconvenience. The Columbia and Ellicott City location handle a much higher volume on a consistent basis than this location and we have never had such a terrible experience. We did not get our food and leave until after 12. Totally unacceptable customer service. We won’t be back...
Read moreFantastic set-up for drive-thru, 2 lanes in a very small space and a very pretty brick wall that is tall and felt ptotecting somehow. Excellent and very quick service... Shakes as always magnificent (although the Large seems somewhat smaller, probably isn't, maybe just the switch from styrofoam to recyclable, see-through plastic cups)... Kale side was free, a reward, and I'm glad I didn't pay for it (nothing like its former self--except the sweet-and-yummy dressing is the same--only shreds of cabbage for contrast to the kale bits, and almonds to sprinkle over) because it wouldn't have been worth the price. Overall good visit: lots of workers taking orders from cars waiting in line, not making anyone wait to get to the menu to order; same workers collect payment, I swiped my card through back of their touchpad and only I needed to touch my credit card; my order extended to me in a long steel warming tray, so not even close or direct contact at the window. Good trip! Almost like the old days (except we ran in for takeout, and never did the drive-thru (it used to take longer to wait outside than park and run in)). Next time I'll call ahead; might as well take advantage of the many parking spots designated for in-car pick-up. Hang in there,...
Read morePlaced an order on the mobile app. Waited in line for the drive thru, then waited some more. Then some more... The young man who was trying to find the order was very apologetic and I appreciate his attempts at finding a solution. My frustration comes from the response or lack there of from the manager or duty, Josh? John? He came outside and explained he deleted the mobile orders because of closing down inside? No explanation why a drive through order should have been impacted (the order was placed at 8:55pm), no apology, and was only offered 'you should not have been charged. If you were, please come back and we will reverse it for you'. He then WALKED AWAY, not even waiting for any sort of confirmation of understanding or acknowledgement. The young man then invited me to place the dynamic, four person order all over again? Not an acceptable solution. No consideration or compensation for the time & energy wasted and my hungry humans back home. We had dinner elsewhere last night. I have always been a huge fan of the team and management at this location but after last night, might be returning to the Hopkins location or finding a new go to 'Family Date Night' regular. Extremely...
