ALTHOUGH CHIPOTLE IS EXTREMELY TASTY, I worked at chipotle for 7 months and I can honestly say, This is the worst chipotle experience I've ever had... I feel like they wanted to get rid of me. The first employee at the line greet section asked me "How can I help you" repeatedly as I was taking (not even) approximately 5 seconds to look at the rice and pick a selection. I'm guessing that wait time made him slightly upset because he gave me a small amount of rice. I then had to ask for more rice... It is my choice as a human to be vegan but being a paying customer, I shouldn't feel as if I should have to state that I dont want meat, just so I can have 5 more bites of rice. (As I said the portion size was originally small, I'm guessing, because of the 3-5 seconds I spent trying to look at the freshness of the cilantro between the two of rices was too time consuming.) Anyways I will follow with saying that I waited for a whopping fajitas that were undercooked after the rice section (I guess because I'm vegan that means I came to eat all the fajitas [not true, I only wanted a regular, cooked portion].) Yes I know the difference between crunchy and uncooked vegetables. These fajitas were rushed to the line. So now we get to the toppings section... Now.. I have many different nationalities and I will gladly say that I do not indulge in racism. I start off by saying that, because the next emloyee to handle my food appeared to be of some type of hispanic descent... Being that chipotle is CHIPOTLE MEXICAN RESTAURANT, I would think that ALL the employees would know the original names of the food on the menu such as "pico de gallo" (tomato salsa) or "salsa verde" (green salsa)... So I asked for pico whilst pointing at it and she responded with "mild?" Then I asked for verde and she responded with "hot?" Whilst pointing at the spiciest, red salsa. This didn't bother me. It's more of a concern for the store owner... As the story goes on, she passes my bowl to the 4th employee. She was a small girl approximately 20 years of age and of Phillipino descent. (For manager's concern) asked her for guacamole.. She gave me a medium sized scoop of guacamole, which is normal under a manager's' standard.... but it had cheese in it. (I can NOT eat dairy) what bothered me the most is I actually tried to prevent her from scooping the cheese into the guacamole. I asked "Can I have some guacamole?" As I asked, I looked down, and saw the cheese. It took me a split second but I proceeded to ask "could you get the -" she had already slung the guac into my bowl of food. She saw that I was making a comment as she was already beginning to ask me what else I wanted (That's how fast she was moving, along with not paying attention to me, the one paying for the experience.) The look I recieved while commenting was extremely hostile. I expressed that there was cheese in it and I can't eat cheese. She said "What." Of course, I repeated myself. She abruptly asked "Where?" (During this entire encounter I was recieving an increasing amount of attitude) After she asked me where, the previous employee (Who watched the situation play out) kindly intruded whilst pointing at the cheese. She took the cheese out, (She's still being rude of course) asked me "What else?" I said lettuce, so she threw my bowl together and passed it on. Then, to TOP IT OFF, I recieved a dollar in my change that was not at all a complete dollar. I will never come here again. I repeat, never again I don't care if they make this place 24/7. This is first review (good or bad) that I have ever given in my life and I am 20 years old.
The service is TOO FAST!!!!!
P.s. I do not have a money problem, this has nothing to do with me...
Read moreIf I could leave no stars I would. I came on New Years and placed a order online for pickup for 7:30ish. Of course it was New Years and this location was closing early so I knew going in that I would have to wait which was no problem whatsoever. However, the staff I encountered was rude. When I got my order, the gentleman stated “oh yeah, we don’t have chips . We ran out”, I stated that’s fine, I’ll take my money back for the chips and queso because I didn’t need it if I didn’t get any chips.
Another lady from the counter (cashier with locs) interrupted our conversation by stating that “go to chipotle online to get your money back”. I simply told her that would not do as I did not want to wait 2-4 days for a refund. I asked what could be done to fix or make the situation right, she said nothing.
I asked for the manager and the manager sent another young lady to speak to me. At this point, I was annoyed because I asked for the manager not a messenger. I told the young lady I was not upset with her but was rather bothered by the manager flat out refusing to address my concern or rectify the situation (he did this to several people while I was in line for my pick up order). For example, I saw plenty of people coming back complaining that their order wasn’t right, the portions were small (it was close to closing and they did not make more), burritos weren’t fully wrapped or closed. They were not putting orders on the mobile rack so people could swiftly grab their items to ease the flow of traffic. I was told by the cashier lady with locs that “people have been stealing” and that’s why they do not put orders there. Beats the convenience or use of the mobile rack, but I get it. Regardless of the concern, the manager refused to talk to the customers that I saw complain or request a manager.
The young lady he sent to speak with me (not the cashier with locs) gave me a drink to make up for the situation and I thanked her and left.
I completely understand that places are understaffed, underpaid, and overwhelmed during the holidays, but the quality of service should...
Read moreThis was the first time I was disappointed here. They no longer give you the amount of rice they use to give. Second I was given scraps of chicken left at the bottom and when I asked for new chicken she asked me if I wanted to pay for extra chicken. I was confused because I was given scraps. I became frustrated with the process but this is where my son wanted to eat. So when I asked her about giving me what was at the bottom, there now was a communication barrier in her understanding what I was requesting. I am a supporter of people working but if you can't speak English well it create a hardship for the consumer that isn't fair. I wasn't pleased with this visit and the amount of chicken I was given looked different in comparison to the bowl my son had. I believe in using all food but don't short change your customers because you have a few pieces left and don't put the burden on me in price to get the amount that I should have received in the first place.
Second incident Last night I was in the restaurant and ordered two kids meal quesadilla with chicken. I reached the register to pay and informed them that they were trying to charge me for a regular quesadilla. The lady who was in the area with the salsa became rude stating "you ordered a regular and can't you tell this isn't regular". I informed her that I requested a kids meal and whatever the gentleman prepared was not my decision. She then took the order and placed it in the to go section and stated that she would prepare the appropriate order. Due to her being rude, she failed to give me all the items in the kids meal and proceeded to tell me it was all there. In addition, the computer froze and I was overcharged for my meal. I informed them that I needed a refund for the amount over. The manager stated that he had to many people to address this issue and I had to return the next day to get my refund. This was not in my plan to return to your store to get my money back. You would not have let me leave without paying. This is concerning and I don't have receipt because the...
