Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Maryland

It was ok. First time going to a cold stone creamery and I was not impressed at all. They don’t have Apple Pay available which was kind’ve peculiar since it is the year 2022 but I had my card with me so it wasn’t really issue. The prices were a little overwhelming but it is chain ice cream brand so I wasn’t surprised. The lady at the register didn’t allow me to get a milkshake and ice cream with the buy one get one free coupon I had received after typing my phone number in the little touch screen. She could’ve just gave us the smaller priced item for free but instead told us to buy another item in a very animated tone. Mind you it was just myself and my younger sister. Lol i tipped them $1.99 though cause I didn’t really care for the fact I wasn’t really care for the fact that they are using upselling tactics to get people to purchase menu items that they don’t otherwise need. Went in to buy an ice cream for my little girl while my sister in law was visiting. The employees (looked like young teens) were all standing there staring and exchanging glances (about 7 or 8 of them) until someone finally decided to ask what I wanted. I was paying with cash and the girl at the cash register looked impatient as I was waiting to find the change. Did not feel welcomed at all, customer service was lacking and if you'll be hiring young teens and they'll be dealing with the general public they need training in the way of customer service skills because they were kind of rude. Perhaps you need to close down for sensitivity training...

So me and my friend ordered mint ice cream with m&m’s and a butter pecan ice cream. But, as soon as my friend Ate the ice cream about 3-4 minutes later she says her stomach hurts and I asked was something she ate she said no, she said that she believed that it was something on the counter that was unsanitary and it got all over her ice cream then later my stomach started to hurt I think this would be very well true because they weren’t cleaning the counter or spatula correctly over all our experience...
