I've been to this location now twice, and I can confidently say to save your money or go somewhere else.
The first time I visited, my friend and I were incredibly underwhelmed. The server didn't come to our table for 10 minutes (I clocked it). We ordered ice coffee, a juice and a regular coffee. When the server arrived with our drinks, she mishandled the tray and dropped all the beverages. Mistakes happen, not complaining about that. However, it took another 15 minutes for her to come can with our drinks and take our order. The food was also slow to arrive and was just okay. My friend asked for her potatoes plain but they came doused in paprika (she couldn't eat them). Our server didn't come back to check on us to see how we liked our food so she never got the chance to ask again for plain potatoes
Today I decided to give this place another shot, chalking the first lackluster experience up to opening nerves. Well, I was sadly more disappointed today than I was the first time I went. Our server was quick to approach our table. I ordered a coffee drink and my husband ordered a diet coke. He received his quickly, but my coffee took over 10 minutes (server kept saying that someone was making it). I thought she could have brought me water or something while I waited, but since she didn't offer, I just asked. We ordered when she came back. When my coffee did arrive, it was not like I imagined it and our server disappeared before I could ask her for some sugar. In fact, she never came back until well after the food was delivered. The poor food runner had to deal with our myriad of requests (sweetener! Diet coke! Water! Syrup!) She happily brought it all back and apologized like she knew what we were dealing with.
The food: my husband told our server when she did come back that his sandwich was very dry. She just shrugged and said 'I don't eat meat' but never offered him something else or to take it off the check. My food was just okay (chicken and waffles) but for $20, I could make a much better version at home!
TLDR: this place has so much potential. But the dry food, high prices and the terrible service make it so painful that I...
Read moreI had the new southwest sunrise omelette. There were just handful of people in the restaurant this morning , but it just seemed as though the food took an extra long time, also with our waitress it took long to get a refill on my coffee after the initial cup . After receiving the food, the omelette was cold. The potatoes were cold and stale. The multi grain bread toast was cold as well. I sent the order back. The waitress did come back to ask me if I wanted to have the toppings on the side of omelette or if I indeed wanted to have the sour , avocado and pico on top . She was feeling the cold avocado, sour cream, and pico de gallo would have made the omelette cold for my taste . Which I don't agree with. For me, when a company puts a new item on the menu, they've actually done tastings and analyzed things, so those toppings would not have made it cold. They only compliment the item for the most part . But if it sits around, it gets cold. They did bring me another omelette out, but I feel what they did with the initial lyonnaise potatoes from the returned was put them in hot grease to make them hot , because they were hot but very greasy this time . The egg omelette was this time hot but smaller than the initial one and the toast was still cold. After I tasted the food I of couse I was more disappointed than before , so I didn't eat it, but they still charged me $18 plus $3 for coffee . And for the manager they never came over to see how things were . Had a terrible dining and food experience. I'll never go to this place again. I too wish these restaurants would stop complaining about the volume of customer or the quality of customer but with the higher prices , smaller portions and attitude of waitstaff and managers for the most part . They will continue to go out of business or get that customer that don't tip , curse out the staff and trash the...
Read moreI'm really frustrated with myself that I didn't take any pictures. So, my apologies.
Firstly, I feel that our server tried really hard. But I don't think the proper staff was on.
We were there during dinner. We ordered a couple of their "signature" drinks prior to putting our food order in. These drinks didn't come out until well after our dinner came out. There appeared to be confusion on how to prepare the drinks. That just shouldn't ever happen with your signature drinks. When the drinks finally arrived, they weren't really prepared like the descriptions. Again, the place wasn't properly staffed.
Next, our food order was a little messed up. Now those things happen. We're human. But once the food situation was resolved, it was time to dig in.
I ordered the Hot Nashville Chicken sandwich with fries. It didn't come with very many fries. Disappointing. The chicken itself was so hard. I'm guessing it had been prepared earlier in the day and sat there. When the chicken wasn't hard, it was rubbery. The spicy Coleslaw that came with it? Such a small amount and it really wasn't any good.
I know we all have our own proclivities, but for $18 (for the meal), I expected better. As for the staff being ill prepared, I feel that speaks to poor management. Especially on a Friday evening dinner shift.
I felt that the restaurant itself was clean and nicely done/decorated.
I honestly wouldn't recommend this place.
I'm glad I tried, but I won't be going back, nor would I tell my friends to try it out.
I hope this...
