āFirst off, let me say my fiance and I LOVE the food at Ghar-e-Kabab. However, today was the fifth, and final, time where they messed up our delivery order. Considering the already high prices, small portions and very slow delivery times (we live less than a mile from their location and delivery time is typically nearly 90 minutes) we were already mildly annoyed with our experience, yet their food quality kept bringing us back. However, the mistakes kept getting more frequent, such as inaccurate orders (e.g., forgot our order of naan once, we requested a double salad instead of side salad and rice, yet they gave us three orders of rice and no salad, etc.) and would make noticeable mistakes on simple order directions (e.g, mildly spiced dish was delivered far too spicy, we received a regular order of naan when I paid extra for stuffed naan). Again, these were annoyances, but acceptable because we so enjoy the food.
However, today was the final straw. I placed an order at noon with a delivery time of 8PM in hopes it would be fresh and hot when my fiance got home. Instead they delivered the food at 1:30 with, yet again, an incorrect order. I returned the food to their restaurant and complained about their increasingly frustrating delivery issues and this mistake particularly. Instead of being understanding and attempting to fix the issue, they spent the first 5 minutes claiming they didn't have anything that showed I placed an order. This was despite me having a bag with their food in it, their receipt stapled to the bag, my printed online receipt and my order history showing them we are very loyal customers averaging at least one order every month. Finally, they agreed it was their error and they promised they would deliver the food at the correct time with the correct order. They didn't offer a discount, or a anything to account for their mistake.
They finally delivered the food approximately 10 minutes ago and once again they gave us 3 orders of rice instead of two salads and no rice, and finally the two orders of paneer pakora was only one order.
Moral of the story is, the food is great, the service, particularly delivery service, is abysmal and they make mistakes so frequently I can't recommend them any longer....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went there on 3rd December Sunday after 10:30pm and ordered for āāTO GOāā The lady the bar was available and she took my order.I gave her my credit card. She didnāt offered me any receipt or didnāt give me the clover terminal if I want to give her any tips . She just simply gave me my credit card back and told me to wait 20 mins.
When I was waiting for my food I saw I was charged $58.79, but order total should be $49.82 with tax. Then I felt like she might just tipped herself. She actually tipped herself 20% without my permission.
I went to register and ask her for a receipt, she gave me a receipt with $49.82. Then I told her why I was charged $58.79. She said its service charge. But if any restaurant has extra service charge they always mention that on their menu so customers can see before order. I asked her if she can show that anywhere in their restaurant or on the menu that says 20% service charged will be added .She couldnāt show me. Then she print out another receipt that says ,tips $8.97. Then I told her even the receipt says that āTIPSā not āservice chargeā . She kept repeating the same thing its service charge not tips .
All I was expecting she would say sorry for what she did . She clearly put 20% tips for herself .
When I saw she was playing dumb , I just told her one thing , āIām not asking for refund but you shouldnāt take my money without my permission, thats not acceptable and Iām not okey with it . Donāt do that againā She understood and didnāt say a thing.
If the management see this review please tell her stop scamming peopleās credit card and stealing money. This is totally unethical and...
