Now I don’t normally do reviews but how else will one improve. I had the jerk chicken here once and let me just say, that was not Jamaican jerk chicken. I decided to give them a second chance because maybe the chef had quit that week or maybe I ordered late.

This time around I ordered curry chicken for my friend and the jerk chicken again for myself. The only thing consistent with Jamaican flavor was the rice and peas. The curry chicken was fresh and lack seasoning and the jerk chicken should be called mild brown stew chicken with extra scotch bonnet pepper. In Jamaica, our dishes can only turn out 1 of 3 ways. These guys had a 4th way that was unknown to my taste buds.

Let me help you with the curry chicken and jerk chicken. For the curry, use Jamaican spice curry, season the chicken with the curry, garlic, scallion onion etc and ginger root then let it sit for at at-least 2hours. When ready to cook, burn some of the curry in the pot before adding the seasoned curried chicken to the pot. Now while the curry chicken cooking add some thyme stems and one uncut scotch bonnet pepper.

For the jerk chicken, if you not doing it pan style, get grace jerk seasoning and marinade for a hour or two then place in oven covered then uncovered until cooked.

Hope this helps, I’m really here for your success and you guys are the...

It took me alot to give this 1 star. I went today November 6 around 9pm. When i walked in it was empty. I took a look at the food and the rice and beans was sooo dried out. But i still stayed. My sister asked to sample the brown stew. No comment. The short FAT Lady was soooo rude. And her attitude was just nasty. So i was sure to be polite. Because i understand bad days. So the food on display didn't look appealing. And i was craving Jamaican food. So i ordered the jerk sandwich. She told me in the nastiest way possible tone that it will take 15 mins. I said ok i still want it. So after that we had a staring contest. Then she told me to pay now. I said no problem. I told her i will be back. I came back 5 mins later and my sandwich was ready. I walked up to the register she have me food. I said thank you and she said nothing back. The sandwich was big but super light weight. I get to my car and checked the food. She gave me the tiniest amount of jerk chicken. But because i was so hungry and peeped her attitude. I swear i didnt have the time nor patience to deal with a confertation. I literally cried because i know i wasnt a rude or difficult customer. If i am supporting your business then why be nasty. I will never ever go here. Never again. Please please please choose...

Worst customer service ever! I ordered a shrimp roti and when I got home and started eating I noticed I didn’t have much shrimp, so I opened the it and there were only three shrimp! Yes, I counted. I called them to tell them and they were immediately defensive. Telling me that couldn’t be. Now I understand standing by your product but if a customer is telling you there is a problem you don’t talk over them. Then to make matters worse the guy I was speaking to had the nerve to tell me I didn’t know the difference between shrimp and potato! That really ticked me off, so at that point I went off the deep end. I yelled and I guess he felt like I was being disrespectful, so he finally said well I didn’t prepare your meal and passed the phone to the young lady who prepared my meal. She was much calmer although she also denied that she served me three shrimp. She tried to tell me the others were small...but eventually she asked me if I ate any...smh. At that point I was thru. I wasn’t calling to receive a refund or get another meal made. I simply wanted them to know so they could do better next time. But trust and believe there will be no next...

I’m highly disappointed in the quality of the Oxtail and the response I received after telling the server that I was not satisfied with the quality. For $28 I got four fatty oxtail with oily gravy. The food looked, smelled & taste like dog food. There was no spice to the oxtail in fact it taste like straight barbecue sauce. I called the store and the young lady told me “no manager was available “ I told her I would call in the morning and asked for a managers name… she hesitated and refused to give it to me. It’s two things in life I don’t play about and that’s my money or my food. This issue will get resolved thank God I used a credit card so I will definitely be disputing this. I hope the quality of the kitchen doesn’t reflect the quality of the food because I will be calling Maryland health department about this hole in the wall food. Save your money and time! DO NOT EAT HERE. If you want real Jamaican food go to JAM DOUNG

I've never been to the brick and mortar place but the food truck sucks big time. At least when I visited it. We waited about 15 minutes in line to order then another 25 after ordering to get the food. The food was expensive for sure but was nothing special. The beef patty was ok, the fried shrimp was just ok but the fries were actually raw. Idk if that's a Jamaican thing and to be honest, they weren't horrible but they were raw. Definitely don't recommend.
