So there are a few warning signs that warrant this review but the thing is a good bit of these warning signs can also be the indicators that this food is about to be amazing. So the first is the drop ceiling, some of the tiles are dirty or hanging down like they've potentially been wet before. The next is the tables, they're not all the same style like they bought some at one time then decided to upgrade half of them instead of all. The next is the table setting which initially looks nice but then uses a paper napkin and not a cloth one. Lastly the walls in some places are dirty, not like of this chair was rubbing against the wall dirty, but like oh something spilled here dirty. Now I know these can be looked at as a negative but there are lots of places that have similar setups and the food is off the charts. If you can look past these things, the ambiance is pretty nice, sound carries pretty far so most conversations can be heard from almost anywhere within a 10-15 foot radius.
Now onto the food and service. The service is pretty nice, well it was pretty empty for lunch and the server was pretty nice. Another plus it's that the manager is definitely always floating around checking in on you. The prices are pretty reasonable also so that's a win there. Now we ordered garlic bread, fettuccine Alfredo, the lasagna, and a caesar salad. The bread that comes out to the table wasn't warm and the butter was cold so spreading it was pretty much impossible. The caesar salad was pretty good, but interestingly came with bacon, and the lasagna had a strange taste. Another person reviewed earlier and said their wife's mussels tasted like dish soap, the sauce in the lasagna did have that sort of a taste also. The Alfredo was soupy and didn't have much taste and the garlic bread was decent.
Overall I don't think I'll be going back to try any other items. I've seen enough to know that I won't like anything else there. Maybe the happy hour is good since they did seem to have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really donāt know how to explain how horrible this place is! Our server, a plump little thing with an attitude! We were seated without menus by the manager and were forgotten about. We had to track down a server to assist us... when we did the experience went down from there! The server came over and was curt, unfriendly, seemed rushed, and just unorganized for her shift. After waiting for what seemed like forever she took out order. We had to flag her down for napkins, silverware, and everything! About 30 minutes after we received our salads, I was told that the kitchen was out of food that was ordered! At this point the order had been in for a hour. I canceled my order at that point because I couldnāt wait. When the food was served, it was sloppy! Food was slopped on a plate and had no seasoning, color, presentation, or appeal! At no point did a manager come over although you could see him stuffing his face in the kitchen. Iām in the restaurant industry and Mothers Day is holy! This was less than holy. While Iām writing this the manager did come over. When I explained what was wrong with the food, he questioned me and I offered my sons food for him to taste. Long story short, out of all specials by 5:00 for Motherās Day, understaffed for Motherās Day, restrooms were filthy and unstocked, and The...
Read moreI have lived in the area for several years, and this past Sunday was my first time setting foot inside of this restaurant. I was immediately impressed by the old school feel/charm of the place. It is definitely a place that my wife and I intend to experience without the kids (it gives a slightly romantic vibe-in my opinion). I ordered my food to go (for a family of four), but I was impressed by the customer service of the young lady who was at the welcome area (I wish that I could remember her name). I called in my order and I noticed (shortly after walking out) that there was an entrée missing from my order. The young lady promptly apologized, and immediately put in the missing order. She brought my order to me about 10-15 minutes later, apologized for the error, and said that the entrée was on the house. I was so impressed by such a display of good customer service. I sincerely appreciate that and I will make sure to frequent this restaurant whenever I am craving some really good Italian food.
Apologies for the long review, but I want to give credit to a restaurant that has both great food and great customer service. I ordered Calamari, Veal Parmigiana, Cajun Blackened Shrimp Alfredo (2 orders), Posillipo, and Garlic Bread (in addition to the bread that comes with the...
