📌I should have followed my first mind when I was urged to go to a McDonalds location in my own town (which is 1 hour away). Did I listen to my gut feeling… NOOOO! Silly me, I listened to my body…I was hungry and did not eat all morning. This particular location had staff and managers used racially and bigoted hostilities toward me, and refused to answer my questions. Instead, I was met with aggression. I ordered food using my app to get a free item. I have a ton of points in my app and decided to save my money for this particular visit. In the order placed, I asked for a cup of ice water. I usually get it with all my orders I’ve placed. In fact, other locations operate the same way with no problems. Unfortunately, I did not get a cup of water. I politely asked the woman at the window for a cup of ice water and gave her a gentle reminder it was forgotten in my order. She yelled hostilities toward me, refusing to make the cup of water and told me to get out the line. Because of her disturbing behavior toward me, I asked for the supervisor. As she was closing the window, I could hear Racially-charged comments about my appearance to the supervisor in Spanish. A man comes up and says, “I’m getting security..” The security woman comes to the window and threatens to file a Police Report for “Trespassing”. Yes, you read that right…TRESPASSING!!” She had a thick New York accent, and was adamant in her approach. I asked, “….over a cup of water!” I can see if there were hostilities or threats or physical altercations made. But to meet with with threats and hostilities as a customer is deplorable. I should have followed my gut instinct to wait until I get home to eat food. But I was so hungry. I’ll be sure to share my story with others to give this incident a voice and make others aware of the realities of Racism and...
Read moreEarlier today, I visited this McDonald with my children, excited to enjoy a meal together. I ordered two kids meal along with a meal for myself. However, when I politely requested a cup of tap water, I was shockingly denied this simple request. The employee insisted that tap water was not available and that I had to purchase a beverage instead. And she pointed at the sign “we don’t provide water cups”
This refusal to provide tap water for a paying customer is both unacceptable and disappointing. As a responsible parent, I value the importance of providing my child with healthier beverage options, such as water, instead of sugary drinks. Denying me tap water for my child's meal goes against the principles of promoting healthier choices and raises concerns about your commitment to customer satisfaction.
I believe that it is crucial for McDonald's to address this issue promptly to ensure that all customers are treated with fairness and provided with the basic amenities they deserve. I kindly request you to take the following actions to rectify this situation:
Review your employee training protocols regarding customer service and basic hospitality practices, emphasizing the importance of accommodating reasonable requests, including tap water for customers. Revisit your policies regarding the provision of tap water, ensuring that all locations adhere to the same standard of service. Offer an apology for the inconvenience caused and provide assurance that steps will be taken to prevent similar incidents in...
Read moreSeptember 19th, around 1:30pm The police officer or McDonald's security is on a huge power trip and was rude this afternoon. She got really defensive over a soda refill and called out the lady behind the counter and embarrassing her. Being loud and all. It wasn't that deep, we make mistakes and if that happen you take someone to the side, say how they are wrong and "gotta learn what the right thing to do" and such. It was ridiculous to watch. The officer need to rethink things and I'm afraid that if she gets that heated over a soda refill, how will she react to other things? I now don't wanna go to this McDonald's just because I now feel tense with this female officer.
The argument was because a lady step outside and came back in, had a McDonald's cup and was going to get a soda refill, but the officer said no. The lady ask the workers if she can and the workers said yes, but the officer stop that and was being loud and aggressive to get the manager. Since the lady step out she is "technically " a new costumer. Even when the lady said to drop it she won't get a refill the officer contunied to be rude and loud,...
