McDonald's — Restaurant in Maryland

McDonalds hasn't been a place people go for quality service or food in a long time but this place has really gone downhill. I assume some of this can be attributed to corporate, but there's a consistent staffing and worker issue that hasn't been addressed in months.

To start, the business has done everything possible to make you not want to eat inside. They switched to a double-lane drive-thru which eliminated half of the parking spots. The inside has no self-serve drinks, no condiments in sight, and no napkins to grab. If you want any of these, you need to talk to a cashier.

So good luck. Because they are never at the register, even though every time I've gone in there's always four-five people waiting around for their order, or wanting a refill, or wanting to make an order, because they don't want to use the kiosk. Very often I've seen workers peek out of the kitchen, look at the people waiting, and keep doing what they're doing. If anybody comes out it with an order, they're very quick to drop it off and rush back in without asking anyone else if they need help.

I've heard that lots of fast food places are heavily judged on their drive-thrus more than their in-store orders, but it doesn't justify poor customer service inside. Especially not when there's a Chik-Fil-A two buildings over where I have consistently good service. On the last three times I've gone to McDonalds, months apart from each other, I've done mobile orders, and it still takes 15 minutes to get my food after I arrive. Nobody ever asks for my order number, nobody even seems to acknowledge me until my food is done, and at least once I've very clearly seen my order waiting inside the kitchen for a significant amount of time before someone notices it and brings it out to me. This means that every time I've gotten my food, it's come out lukewarm. It's unacceptable.

The only thing that keeps this review from being a 1 star all the way through is it is still McDonalds, so the quality of the food is never gross, it's just lukewarm or cold. But I'm certainly done with this place unless I see an "Under New Management" sign on...

if I could give this zero stars, I would. On June 28, 2020 at 10:27 AM I walked inside to order a sausage Mc riddle with cheese, no egg and a hash brown. Total came out to $6.02. I didn’t even get a receipt. But I didn’t mind because maybe they forgot. I waited 12 minutes inside for them to only mess up my order after I got to my car. The drive-thru was completely open by the time I walked out so I’m not sure what was the reason for my hold up for one sandwich and a hash brown. I drove to the drive-thru and told her I had the wrong order. She told me to pull up and I did. I told the one supervisor who was working the drive thru (purple shirt) my issues and she took back the sandwich. I also told her that I received a drink which was a Coke or Diet Coke which I did not order. She told me she could not take it back. But of course she would take back to sandwich. Makes absolutely no sense. She told me to pull up and I did. I waited until 10:53 AM for someone to actually get my sandwich. But I ended up having to walk inside for them to give it to me. Why does it take that long to remake a sandwich. Absolute...

I've been going to this location since they opened, which seems like decades ago now. And over the years the place has just steadily gotten worse.

Inside, with the remodel, it's looks really nice, but with it, they removed all the fountain soda machines and the condiments. Not even napkins are available. You have to ask for anything you need. This is just a pain, but it is what it is. No idea why they did this, but they did.

My biggest issue is really the employees. They're just not with it. Whenever I've gone, the employees seem like they're just zombies, unless their chatting to eat other. This is the manager's fault. They're just taking her que since that's what she does.

Order is always wrong too. Either stuff missing or wrong. Tonight missing fries. A few weeks ago, they didn't put cheese on a cheeseburger. At least they don't hassle you about...
