October 4th Update:
Tried again. The lemon ice was high fructose corn syrup and xanthan gum with bits of rind, but had a plastic lemon aftertaste that was barely discernible.
I recommend consulting a professional recipe developer or conducting regular taste tests with someone who has culinary expertise. The current product formulation may not be meeting customer expectations, and it may be beneficial to consider partnering with an established brand or reevaluating the production process.
Bottom line - $10.00, 2 trips, not happy. Update to review: The owner reached out, and responded to my review. Out of fairness, I will try again. Once that's done, I'll give another update or will edit my review. I appreciate the opportunity to see if what I experienced was an outlier.
The ice cream was not as good as I had hoped. It was quite expensive for a single scoop, and I could have bought a half-gallon of Bryer's for the same price and enjoyed it more.
Perhaps that particular flavor was not their best.
The texture was like that of hard-chilled, over-churned cafeteria ice milk from a local...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited for the first time with my family and though the ice cream was great, the customer service and overall experience was extremely disappointing. Not only were we not greeted at all, but I received my first case of āGenZ Stareā - meaning when we approached the display of ice cream I was stared at and met with a stone cold blank expression, not a smile, greeting or acknowledgment of my presence at all. After we ordered, she pointed to the POS system and walked to the back. Again, I was shocked at this since at this point not one word, aside from me ordering our flavors, was exchanged. Overall, it was a very rude experience. If visiting, I would avoid a young woman wearing glasses with brown hair, as you WILL NOT have a pleasant experience if sheās the one taking care of your order. Iām not one to leave negative reviews unless theyāre absolutely called for, and in this case it was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe ice cream was ok, but to be honest, I wasnāt blown away by it. Maybe I didnāt choose the best flavor?
What really caused me concern though, both as a parent and public health nurse, is that when I reached in to grab a spoon at the receptacle by the register, I noticed two small spoons used for samples in there as well. It was clear someone had disposed of their used spoons in it after sampling ice cream. I immediately notified the employee that was ringing us up.
She proceeded to dispose of all of the spoons in the receptacle, went to grab new spoons, and was about to place new spoons into the receptacle without washing it.
I gently told her that it would be a good idea if she washed it before placing clean spoons in it.
To me this is common sense. You donāt put clean spoons in a container that had dirty spoons in it. Itās unsanitary. Perhaps they need additional training in...
