The absolute WORST chinese (or any) carryout or dine in restaurant food I have EVER eaten. Let's start with the crab Rangoon. The wrapper was so stale I could barely chew it. I found out quickly that it wasn't even worth chewing. Very little filling (come on guys it's cream cheese and fake crab)... and actually it tasted nothing like crab and exactly like plain old cream cheese.
I also got Mongolian beef. It was very strange, I knew I was chewing food but I wasn't tasting anything....never in my life have I had to salt Chinese food.
I will say the rice tasted normal. They did combine our rice in one container. I prefer separate, but that was the least of my worries.
It was my son's birthday dinner, so that was sad....
Exact same complaints from him. I didn't want to ruin things by complaining but when I asked how it was I found he had the same experience.
I called the restaurant. I was extremely respectful. I apologized for complaining but told them I was compelled to call.
I got the normal pushback. She said the Rangoon is mild because they use real crab. Ok.... she said theyre not like other restuarants and that they use mild flavoring not strong. Ok thats wierd...she said its is mild because they don't use msg. USE IT...!!!!
Our favorite Chinese restaurant, joy luck in cape st Claire, had a fire, unfortunately, and are temporarily closed. We anxiously await...
Read moreA small place not fancy but if I chose of any place to get Chinese it would be Ming's Cafe I love my mei fun but almost every place I have to pay extra for each item but I was amazed that Ming' s mei fun had everything already in it only thing extra was the broccoli only one dollar. I always get the house mei fun it has shrimp chicken and pork with rice noodles and veggies with egg every bite I got either the shrimp, chicken, or pork they are not stingy. Most aces you get maybe 3 shrimp if your lucky and I ordered shrimp spring roll , best ever, made perfect I drive all the way from chester Md. Over the bridge to get to Ming's because their food is so delicious I ate in the very first time I found the place and they waited on me like I was royalty , it is nothing fancy but I would rather eat here then a fancy restaurant and 5he friendliness make the atmosphere a 5 star in my book Yummy...
Read moreAverage strip mall Chinese carryout place. The best point here is they use large pieces of white meat chicken that are moist and have very little breading. Sauces are average, with decent flavor but very little difference between like items such as the General Tso and Sesame chicken dishes. Meat portions seem a little small, but that might be because they pack everything in the cardboard containers instead of plastic trays and include a lot less filler broccoli. The fried rice lacks in flavor. Soups are good. And they actually let you take your own condiments instead of filling every bag with stuff you don't need. So don't forget that on the way out!
Service is good, and the facility might actually be cozy if you want to eat at one of the few tables inside. Overall a good comparison to other Chinese in the area, but not the best...
