If I could leave no stars, that would better suit my experience. My wife, sister-in-law, and I decided to visit this establishment earlier this evening and to say that everything about it was atrocious would be an understatement. The complete and utter lack of service from any server or what looked like a manager as she was in street clothes, mixed with the amount time waiting for said lack of service has near ruined our night. We were originally greeted by the aforementioned "manager" nearly 15 minutes after being sat. We placed our drink orders because we were indecisive as to whether or not we wanted an appetizer because we were going to catch a movie shortly after dinner. After yet another 15 minutes, we were finally given our drinks and had our food orders taken. During the wait for our drinks we changed our food orders from a traditional dinner to something quick to help speed things along with our experience. Those were the only times we had anything resembling service. By the hour mark into waiting for more than a single drink, which was warm might I add, I had had enough. I proceeded to stand up for a minute to gain the attention of a server or manager to help which was completely ignored. I finally walked up to the bar where the "manager" was. She saw me walking towards her and immediately walked away. After standing there, the bartender/server that had dropped off our drinks and taken our food orders came from around the back to the front of the bar. I told her that I couldn't do this anymore and to cancel the food orders, I wanted to pay for the drinks because I was over the experience, and we were leaving. She printed out our drink orders without asking if we had any problems or if i wanted to speak to a manager. All three of us work in the restaurant industry and the lack of any professionalism and courtesy is inexcusable. The one word I can think of to describe the visit is embarrassed. Embarrassed that this is the way a place of business maintains itself in the county I live in, embarrassed for staff that works this way, and embarrassed that we chose here to eat at all. If I have anything to say good about this place is that it is at least consistent. I do not remember a decent experience here and this last visit was the final nail in the coffin for me. I will never go to this restaurant again for as long as I live and I advise anyone looking to have an enjoyable experience to avoid this place...
Read moreWe have dined at this location three times over the past few months. About four months ago service, the food, and everything was phenomenal. Over the past two weeks we have tried Longhorn twice. Both times have been disappointing. We ordered Porterhouse and New York Strips. A couple of weeks ago, the New York Strip was chewy and extremely difficult to eat. The manager was gracious and cooked us a better cut. He even sent us some with a second portion of mashed potatoes . There was absolutely nothing wrong with the service or the atmosphere. The mashed potatoes are perfect, so is the asparagus and the Caesar salad. Well, tonight the same thing happened. This is supposed to be prime, not choice cut steak. I do know the difference, because family members owned steakhouses, and I understand the quality and the cut of a prime steak. This time, we did not say anything to the manager. I ate what I could of the steak, and, although the flavor was excellent, it was just very chewy and difficult to eat. You all need to talk to your meat distributor and find out what is going on with the quality of your meat. You are charging for prime cuts of beef and you are sending choice cut to your customers. There is a noticeable difference, and it needs to be corrected. I did not want to complain a second time, but honestly, it’s unacceptable. Each time we visited Longhorn, the service has been excellent. The servers have been friendly and attentive, and I did not want to make a big deal out of it tonight, but it was just really disappointing to bite into a steak that is costing nearly $30, and having to be sure that I continue to chew so I don’t choke. We would really like to continue to dine at Longhorn, but not if this...
Read moreWell let’s start. Last night I went in with my girlfriend, and +2 . When we we’re sat our waiter taller Hispanic Gentleman. He brings us Water , we let him know that we’re expecting 2 more. 20 mins pass, and we’re ready to order. I Ordered a Surf & Turf ( Lobster tail, and a Victoria Filet , 2 Sides ) ; Okay backtrack I’m the top Sales Consultant at a Local Ford Dealership so I understand CSI, and Survey Returns. I’m 23 and, I Carry myself very well, Shirt and Tie daily. So when I ordered he chuckled at me... then continued to ask what size steak, and how I want it cooked. Then I asked for an Old fashioned which is an Alcoholic Beverage he says , Great “ You have an Old Fashioned ID?” Of course I forgot my ID at home , no biggie. Then, he says “Instead have some Old Fashioned Water” then laughs while walking away. 20 mins pass, Food comes out. Turns out My steak was not a Victoria Filet, it was a Sirloin. (IE, Fat, and very flat ) So I mentioned it. Manager asked how he can assist me in making things right, we agreed there would be no point in being out the Filet, so discount my meal. When I received it, Both meals were normal priced!! After I went back up to the waiter to ask what’s going on, he says that they discounted my girlfriends meal! Hers 19.99 , mine 29.99. And he Lied! I just checked the menu, and still same price. Did not leave a tip, as I always 30%-40% for service as I’ve bartended and served for years.
Worst service, Kitchen has no Food Knowledge, and the Manager is not man of his word.
Thank you will be posting also to...
