Dear Popeyes Customer Service,
I am writing to express my significant disappointment regarding a recent experience at this location in the mall. As a regular Popeyes customer, I value the quality of your food, but my recent visit fell short of expectations.
My wife and I visited and ordered a spicy chicken sandwich combo and a 3-piece spicy tender combo. While we understood and accepted the longer wait time for the spicy tenders, we were very disappointed to find that the tenders we received were not spicy at all.
When my wife attempted to exchange them for the correct order, she was unfortunately met with dismissive responses from your staff who insisted the tenders were spicy, despite clear evidence to the contrary. When I approached the counter to explain the situation, I overheard an employee complaining about my wife in Spanish, unaware that I was standing directly behind him and understood what was being said. This lack of respect and professionalism is unacceptable.
Upon my request for either the correct spicy tenders or a refund, the employee continued to deny that the tenders were spicy. When I requested a refund, he informed me that I would need to return the entire order, including my eaten sandwich combo, to receive a refund. After further discussion, he agreed to process a full refund and re-charge, which I accepted.
My concerns are twofold:
Food Quality: The inconsistency in food preparation, specifically the lack of spice in the "spicy" tenders, needs to be addressed to prevent similar situations for other customers. Customer Service and Respect: The disrespectful behavior and dismissive attitude of your staff, including speaking negatively about customers, is a serious issue that reflects poorly on the company. Customers should be treated with respect and their concerns should be handled professionally.

Read moreI was just there today 20mins ago and when I came in one of the employees sitting in the front on the phone talking loud and getting off some kinda nasty on her phone. There’s a long line of people there were only two at the counter serving and taking orders. No smiles 🙄😐😶. I asked for the nine piece for $20 and chicken tenders with small side. Now I already waited along time to get to the counter now I got wait even longer cause the chicken was not and will not be ready for three mins. I saw my food sit there open waiting for the chicken to be ready. The young lady asked do I want dipping sauce I said yes. But what I noticed was a meal that should have cost me no more than $30 dollars cost me $40 and the bowls for the large side whe in small bowls and the one large bowl was haft filled. The young lady charged me for a 12 piece instead of what I ordered and there was no spoons, no dipping sauces,no jelly, just napkins. The cook was slamming the chicken down in bins. The young lady took two orders and never came back to me with my food until she was done with the two people behind me. I have been coming to this place for years and I have watched it go down the drain. The staff keeps changing and my food is always jacked. Last time I was there the manager was taking my order and the whole was wrong. I had returned three times just to get the Manager to do it right my sweet tea had no sugar in it and my food was someone else’s food. Read moreThis is the worst Popeyes in the DMV area collectively. They prepare the chicken as you order so there is usually a 15 minute wait period. The drumsticks are small as hell and look like chicken wing drums(see picture).The lemonade is really water aide and they are usually out of medium lids so you’re reduced to take only a small or large drink. The biscuits are also stale as hell. The Spanish workers there are usually sneezing all over the chicken and don’t wear plastic gloves when retrieving it and they all have bad attitudes when you want a refund or ask for better quality of food.
