So, this would've gotten a better rating. However our server wasnt the most pleasant. I'll save her name for purposes that this wont happen to other guest. Me and my Dad came in after one of my appointments. I'm a cancer patient, just developed a good appetite after not being able to eat for so long. He brought me there because it's like all I was craving and knew I'd definitely eat it. My Dads a retired veteran and still works very hard so money was not an issue. We wanted to order an entree....we did. Then we wanted endless soup and salad. After that the waitress proceeded to take our menus away and we said we weren't done ordering. She stated "You already ordered the entree. This is counted an as entree." We both looked puzzled because my Dad was like "Well, I mean, can we not order more?" She responded with explaining how much it would cost additional. We understood that but it was confusing because we were COMPLETELY okay with that. But she caused so much confusion over it. I dont know if guest have issues with that kind of thing but we clearly did not. Point being, we didnt care of the soup and salad was an entree and she kept trying to find ways I guess in her mind to make it cheaper. We didnt ask for that. Anywho, we ordered our appetizer, soup and salad which wasnt endless but I guess she added on as additional. And then we ordered our entrees. Our soup and salad were brought out first and we had to remind her we never got our appetizer. She said it had been bumped and possibly given to another table. And we were just kind of confused but carried on. Finally appetizer came out and finally finally our second entrees we ordered. Our waitress didnt seem to care that we were there or for dealing with us. But I dont care so much. Maybe she was just having a bad day. Anyway. You guys should let people order as much as they'd like, no hassle. Dont assume people dont have money and if you do explain additional charges and they say okay, let them order what they want with no confusion. I saw the other waitress at the next table and I kind of wish we would've gotten her. She was so nice and pleasant and even brought us drinks when our waitress was at the bar helping out. But please dont size people up or try to calculate what they have to spend. You might be blocking your own big tip as well as making so we never visit this olive garden again. I hope this helps for training...
Read moreAfter receiving a gift card from a dear friend for our anniversary we decided to go to the closest Olive Garden where we're staying at an Airbnb. When we walked in the restaurant had just opened about 5 minutes prior and the person at the podium put their finger up and said please wait and didn't even look at as she just was very abrupt and rude. She was not a good hostess at all . Our server Diego was very nice but there were many issues. I ordered the cheese ravioli but wanted alfredo sauce instead and was told they being up charge of $2 and change and I said that would be fine and when they ravioli came they weren't even covered with sauce. It was two or three that were barely even covered with the sauce. Now if you're going to charge a customer and upcharge for asking for a different sauce make sure you actually give them ample sauce. Then my husband ordered a coffee and then he also decided he wanted an espresso. When it came it tasted just like coffee there was no espresso in the cup it was just coffee and a tiny cup. My husband then ordered something off of the menu and when the server came back he told us that what my husband had ordered was not available on the menu because they were running a different special. So he had to order something else. Then the breadsticks came and there was only two and there was no brush butter on them or anything just dry sticks of bread. Then I asked how to add my points for the meal on to my Olive Garden account and the server did not know how to do so and all he said was sorry. So $65 later and I wasn't able to add my points. What a disappointment. The actual atmosphere and the interior of the Olive Garden is very beautiful but it does not match the food nor the service that you should be getting while paying such high prices for frozen shipped in food. Very disappointed. I will never go back to that Olive Garden and I would drive further distance just to go to a different one instead of this one since it's so poorly run. And I've learned as a server if you don't know something you go and ask your supervisor or manager how to find the answer instead of just telling the customer sorry and you don't know how to fix something. I'm very glad that I had a gift card for this meal because it would definitely was...
Read moreI ordered from this location yesterday. I got there at the correct time when my food was supposed to be ready. The To-go line had 2 other people ahead of me. Instead of the cashier acknowledging myself and the other woman waiting in line she decided to keep talking to the First Lady without giving us any consideration. When she finally asked us our names I went to he restroom. ( which was disgusting by the way) when I came back she had my order but said if I was paying cash I would have to wait for the next young lady beside her. The other cashier who also didn’t acknowledge me standing there decided that counting out her waitress was more important than cashing out a customer. She didn’t say give a moment or anything. I ordered a new pasta that they have with gnocchi and chicken . It came with breadsticks and soup and I also got a drink. The pasta was over $16 so I expected a good portion. She showed me the bowl that had literally 6 gnocchi and 5 pieces of chicken and a whole bunch of pasta sauce. I decided that for that amount, the portion should have been bigger then what was offered. When I asked to take it off and get the soup and breadsticks, the cashier seemed to catch an attitude like I was being cheap. I asked for the breadsticks which I offered to pay for and she stated I couldn’t have them. So I asked how much the breadsticks cost. She said it depends. 🤔🤔 I asked can I have 2 breadsticks because the soup isn’t that big. She said they don’t come in 2’s.. only 4 or 6 ..I said never mind. It seemed as if she didn’t want me to buy the breadsticks because she gave me so many issues. The manager came to void the transaction. I explained why. He said ok and voided it. He didn’t apologize nor did he offer me anything else for my inconvenience of standing in line for 30 minutes ..🙄🙄🙄 I WILL...
