In the past, I would tend to buy pizza from Costco, because it's cheap and feeds many people (nurses, hospital staff, providers, etc.), but I am blown away by the far superior taste and quality of pizza here. Of note, this is long overdue and I never write reviews, but I want to give thanks. I first bought from Potomac Pizza (Potomac Village, Falls Road restaurant) in May 2019, when I saw a random coupon flyer in the mail. It was delicious (and I was only trying pepperoni pizza, which tends to be my safe choice, when I have never ordered before). Then, I started eating again in April 2020 due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. The pizza is always amazing, both fresh and hot. Ultimate style is what I find to be the best, but Greek & Spinach Ricotta (nurses really love this one) are fantastic. I didn't know you can order half one pizza type & half another style. And they can cut slices smaller to feed more frontline workers. The restaurant staff are friendly, professional, and remind you if you are missing anything (plates or sauce). At the Potomac Village location, Guillermo and Jeffrey are simply the best. Also, when you have had your fill of pizza, then there's more delicious food: pasta, chicken alfredo, chicken tenders, etc. I love the simple creamy white sauce of Linguine Alfredo. At one time, I ordered this, and by serendipity, received Chicken Alfredo, which tasted even better. My favorite at the moment is the eggplant parmigiana dinner and jalapeno poppers. When I take one bite, I feel as if...
Read morePotomac Pizza is a classic neighborhood spot that’s great for a casual meal or takeout. It has a laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere and serves up good, no-frills pizza along with a solid selection of other comfort foods.
The pizza is the main draw, with a soft, doughy crust and plenty of cheese. The pepperoni and white pizza are both great choices, and if you like a bit of a kick, the Buffalo chicken pizza is worth trying. The slices are big and satisfying, and they don’t skimp on the toppings. The garlic knots are a nice addition, and the subs and pasta dishes are decent if you’re in the mood for something different.
Service is friendly and quick, whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout. Parking in Potomac Village can get busy during peak hours, but there are usually spots available with a little patience.
Overall, Potomac Pizza is a reliable go-to for a casual meal, especially if you’re craving a classic, cheesy pizza in the area. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s a solid choice for an easy,...
Read moreI’ve had this pizza before and it was fine. Today they gave me the most sus pizza I’ve ever seen. Tasted like it came from an elementary school lunchroom. Just look at what it looks like.ITS LOOKS LIKE THEY MADE THE PIZZA AND THEN HAD A LITTLE KID PUT COLD CHEESE ON TOP. The cheese Wasn’t even melted, IT WASNT EVEN WARM. Look at the pictures, how do you put slightly melted cheese on top and while no part of the pizza is warm. How would you actually pass this off as your pizza?? I came up and asked does the pizza always look like this. They said yeah. They offered to remake it and I declined politely seeing this is how they supposedly serve it. Just look at the picture people. Fries were completely uneatable. I ordered there and my food came out COMPLETELY cold. I feel bad writing cause they...
