TL;DR: Pick up service staff ruined our Mother's Day.
We decided to order lunch/brunch for pick up on Mothers Day so neither my Mom nor I had to cook for 8 people. We have lived in Potomac for about three years now, and never tried Talley Ho, but I heard the food is terrific, they have a great menu, and it's small, family-owned business that I wanted to support. So I placed our order for pick up through Seamless, and my 78-year-old father went to pick it up. When he got the food home to us, a third of the food was missing, and most of it had been put in the boxes and bags so roughly that there was sauce and grease everywhere - on the packaging, and all over the backseat of my Dad's car. They also gave us the wrong salad dressing, which wouldn't have been a big deal except that when my Dad drove all the way back to get the rest of our food, the pick up guy actually argued with him about it! Arguing with a customer about two little plastic thingies of salad dressing for crying out loud! He also proceeded to put the rest of our food in the boxes and bag upside down, looking my Dad straight in the face as he did so, so there was another mess to deal with when we got home the second time. I really don't appreciate how rude the staff person was to my father, a grandfather just trying to make Mother's Day nice for us, nor how carelessly they packed up the food. Put a real damper on our Mother's Day and a real sour taste in my mouth. I wish I had...
Read moreOn July 27, 2020, we ordered 4 take out Gyros from Tally Ho Restaurant located at 9923 Falls Road in Potomac, Maryland. The Gyros were extremely salty, the pieces of meat were very dry and the bread was soggy as if it was soaked in water. Since it was late at night and the place was closed , we waited till next day to call. I told the manager about our experience with the food and that we could not eat the food because of being very salty. The manager didn’t want to help and was extremely unprofessional, he was playing it smart, laughing and playing a doctor!!! We took the food to the restaurant per my conversation with the manager. The manager instead of being apologetic, he called the police on us for no reason because there was no threat, no weapon, I guess just because he wanted to show off in front of the couple of...
Read moreThis neighborhood diner stands out not only for its delectable food but also its seamless service. Their pizza, with its dense, thick crust, ensures that even a single slice is satisfyingly filling. Though it's priced slightly above nearby competitors, the quality justifies every penny. The owners' genuine warmth elevates the dining experience, as they earnestly engage with their patrons.
The pet-friendly touch, catering to both two-legged and four-legged guests in their outdoor seating, is a commendable gesture.
One of the standout conveniences is their curbside pickup. I often opt for takeout, and the process couldn't be smoother. Pull up, make a call, and the meal is promptly brought out, making those dinner duties a breeze. In every aspect, this diner is a neighborhood gem, blending taste with...
