It was our first time dining in this place. From the very beginning there was inconveniences. Not the bad part of our experience tho.
The only reason for the 2 stars is because the manager was very nice & accommodating to us. He lowered our bill accordingly.
We started with an appetizer of creamy spinach and artichoke dip. LORD knows how bad that was. I ate one chip and changed my appetizer. We ordered the boneless wings. Buffalo with blue cheese. They were very blah. Nothing about them stand out to be over $10 dollars. They are accompanied with chips smothered in sauce & carrots. I loved the carrots.
Anyways we continued to order our burgers, honestly they are good, but definitely not gourmet or worth $16 plus with their fries. We waited so long for our burgers it was insane! Only to be told 3 minutes before our burgers came out, we dont have the sauce that goes on our burgers! Y husband did not get his tomatoes added.
The fries, sweet potatoes very bland, nothing sweet about them. The good one's are the garlic ones.
Canned mandarin oranges and 6 tiny corn dogs for .y daughter with what it seemed like water and chocolate syrup for her drink. She didnt even drink it. How donu go wrong with chocolate milk??
Anyways to end this, they gave us our bill. It was originally $ 50+. They had 2 appetizer on there and a drink we didnt get.
Manager gave a discount making our bill 30. Wich pays for the average burgers. To the server, if you treat all your guest the same, you would not make any money. When there are toddlers on a table. You make sure to get the plates accumulated. We sat on that table with all the dishes pilling up. We had to ask for napkins & refills
. When we came in they were "bussy", but bussy is just covid bussy. As they spaced out all the tables. They had maybe 15 tables max & a bunch of staff. Half of them were goofing off. We watched a very young girl in the kitchen entrance just sliding through her phone. Not doing anything else. While food stacks at the window She looked 16 years old. Definitely looked the youngest of the bunch.
Not pleasant at all!! Not worth the money! There are better...
Read moreThis particular Red Robin is located in the Hagerstown Valley Mall with both an outside entrance and an entrance from the mall. We've eaten here a few times out of sheer convenience. While tonight's visit prompts this review, it is also a culmination of several visits that brings me to give only one star. I belong to many reward programs including Red Robin Royalty Rewards. My birthday falls on the last day of the month so I received an email offering a free burger for my birthday first of the year. Most places will honor the reward as long as it is within a week or so of my birthday.
We were promptly seated and I immediately asked our server about the Birthday Reward, and she said she'd ask the manager. I wasn't hopeful, because previous customer service issues were not resolved with the manager, which is unusual. If I complain, it's a blatant issue. As expected, no birthday reward. The manager sent this answer through the server and did not visit our table.
I ordered the A.1 Peppercorn burger with fries. I removed the bread so I took a picture of the entree with the bun and then without the bun. Seeing is believing - it is served with bacon, tomatoes, crispy onion straws, A.1 Peppercorn Spread, and melted pepper jack cheese. The bacon wasn't crisp (I call this floppy bacon) and the onion straws were greasy and just look unappetizing. It tasted like it looks.
Our server was cheerful and I really can't blame her. However I've found in the past this store has ill trained servers who don't know the menu and can't answer questions. They'll tell you one thing and when it ends up being different, you pay the price, not the manager. The floors were filthy and it just seems like a poorly run restaurant. I tend to be generous with my reviews on chain restaurants. I know they aren't 5 stars, but if the service is decent, the food is decent, and the store is clean, I'll give 5 stars. This store fails on all fronts.
This was not my first negative experience here, but it will...
Read moreI'll give a star for serving me at 6min after 9 ... The women on the phone seemed to hate her job. I don't know if the attitude was just for me or if she has a general attitude problem (seemed more like it). Which, I wouldnt have gone out of my way to tell the world about if they had actually gotten my $30 burger and shake order right. (Shake was pretty good though) But they didn't. So, after working a long day and spending almost $20 on an ALREADY overpriced burger, in hopes to be able to go home and settle in & take a much needed breath... instead I got a box of slop. The Cole slaw didn't even have its own container so that found it's way all over the burgers wrapping which- gross? It's wrapped by a thing with someone else's hands all over it.. so the second you put that next to my coleslaw it's contaminating the other food? But these are all just the icing to the actual issue, which is the fact I ordered a Tavern Burger said to come with L/T/onion/pickle/cheese/bacon and I checked off " add mustard & ketchup " which was amongst the other options of "No L/T/pickle" etc. Options, that were made very clear! Options in which i did NOT choose. I only asked for an addition of toppings in which I was then served a sloppy mess of a burger with bacon cheese and slop (all the crazy sauces mixing together with no where to go and no other toppings to hold flavor) This place is a mess. Now I'm left with coleslaw for dinner and will have to deal with calling them in the morning. There's no way you can seriously charge someone 20$ for attitude...
