Belk — Local services in Halfway

Good luck finding an open register. I waited in line for 5 minutes patient, while two women went back and forth shopping in the bra section during their checkout process. The cashier told me the register in mens was open. So I walked over there. It was closed. I went back, stood in line again and told her it was closed. Then she said , well I’m about to close too”. I handed her my purchase and left the store. Terrible customer service. I think people sometimes forget that the only reason cashiers are needed is because purchases are made. I visited the Valley Mall and I entered through the Belk store entrance as soon as I entered the building a young lady asked how I was doing and greeted me , very friendly and offered assistance in finding anything I was looking for. This is a beautifully decorated store very clean and very well stock prices very reasonable and a majority of things are on sale at this time I proceeded to the perfume counter where I bought a new perfume the the clerk was extra friendly she advised me what to buy and she also gave me premiums to go along with my purchase I really look forward to shopping again at this store and that...

I love Belk. Their merchandise is current and diverse with great prices. Even their closeout options are worth exploring. At a time when most of these "anchor" stores are having to close, its great to see that Belk is doing all it can to remain relevant and operational, while still having a wide selection of reasonably priced merchandise. I really enjoy their jewelry selection, (everything from high end to courtesy gift) and I love their fragrance selections.
