If I could give a zero for a score I most definitely would. When you live 10 miles away from somewhere and you get home expecting to feed your family and items are missing, you then must take 5 attempts to get someone to answer your phone call over a period of 45 minutes. After explaining the situation that we were missing all side items for our meals I was nicely told that it would be logged in their logbook and I could come back for a refund. I then asked would it be okay if I come in at least a week later, and I was told that would be no problem at all. I come back in 8 days later and I am told by the Manager on Duty that she doesn’t usually work here and that she cannot do anything but replace the items that were missed. What good is 4 orders of fries and apple slices going to do to feed my family? And after the run around why would I waste a dime in this dirty place anyway. She then says I can give you one free meal, again, how will that feed my family of 4. At this point frustrated that something that seemed so easy on the night of would lead to such a ridiculous excuse, she spoke to the manager of the Store Jessie, who was also ZERO help. I was then told if I still had an issue that I could call and speak to Jessie the next day. I did just that, and after being told they had no details logged about it so they can’t do anything and that because it was more than a week after the incident that she wouldn’t do anything. Its amazing, how would I know that a logbook exists if I never spoke to someone, and heaven forbid, I forget the person’s name that I spoke to initially because I had only called 5 times before finally getting him to answer, and by that point I was in bed not sleeping with a notebook and pen. Appalled at the lack of customer service and just utter inability to do a job. From start to finish, all it takes is double checking a bag for the mom who has two tired kids and just wants to get food and get home to get her children, husband and herself fed and in bed. I will never be returning. Anyone who does decide to eat there remember everyone’s name, DOB and blood type since something is bound to go wrong and you have to document it all. Heaven forbid the receipt not be...
Read moreInitially established in 1968 in the Lyndon B. Johnson Administration, Roy Rogers was established by the Marriott Hotel Corporation as a significant fast food chain that was an incorporation of the elements of Arby's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and David Edgerton and James McElmore's Burger King, bearing the general name of prominent country singer, Roy Rogers, with the brand opening the first location in November of 1968 in nearby Falls Church, Virginia in a location that now houses a McDonald's, a sign of the chain's demise, having been seen since the early 1990s decade, after a majority of the locations were sold to Hardee's Restaurants Parent Company.
This most recent visit to Roy Rogers I recently had was an unexpected visit, despite my general aspirations to consume Roy Rogers on a recent jaunt to the Eastern United States Coast for a quick breakfast while heading back to BWI following a Frederick Keys game the previous nocturnal period, in addition, it was also my first time at a Roy Rogers Location, and I found the experience to be optimal, ordering from the drive thru, I expected the service to be slow after ordering a Sourdough Breakfast Combo with Breakfast Fries and a perpetual Bacon Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich, but I was further met with a quick order and great meal that I have determined as a success for an endangered regional fast food chain.
Overall, despite the brief visit that I had at thos location, Roy Rogers is a gracious fast food experience that individuals shall experience when in the greater Philadelphia or DC Areas, and will return to another location for the consumption of their...
Read moreI have never been to a Roy Rogers before. Today I had to get my car fixed next door so I decided to check them out for lunch while I waited. What a surprise! I walked into a counter full of ladies with smiles on their faces waiting to greet me. I gave them my name and order, proceeded to get my drink and my order was finished, just like that! Super quick! I watched as people came in and was greeted with the same kindness I was......and as people left and was called BY NAME and told to come back and visit. I watched as a mom with her own children and children she was babysitting came in and ordered.....all the ladies treated the mother and kids with such patience and kindness as they tried to figure out what they wanted to eat. I watched as the mom got all her kids in the booth and was scrambling to find extra hands to help cause she seemed overwhelmed....one of the ladies behind the counter brought all their food to the table and served the mother and the children instead of calling the mom up to the counter to get her order. I watched as a gentleman went around to each table and offered mints, opened the door for people coming in and leaving, picking up trays from tables when he saw a guest was finished eating, asking everyone how their food was. The customer service at this place was over and beyond what you typically see at any fast food place. I am not sure who the hiring manager is, but he/she has surely done something right! This place was busy, and I now understand why. I will...
