THIS IS A GLORIFIED AIR MATTRESS!!!! I wish I could give a lower number!!! The customer service at the store is non existent once they sell you a bed. Not one person helped when I called the store we purchased at. That included questions about free items that didn't arrive with the bed, their sleep IQ set up, and returning issues.
EVERYTHING has to go through the the customer service call lines where wait times are 3 plus hours or they say they call back but don't. We have had the worst time trying to return our overpriced air mattress that has no cooling effects to speak of. We were told we had to wait a minimum of 30 days to return and now we have to pay $199 to return the bed that they forced us to keep , resulting in my sleeping on a couch that had more support. We specifically asked about their return policy because I have a back condition called spondylolisthesis and we were hesitant to spend so much.
The mattress itself "trenches"(sinks in the middle) while center on my side and in the center between myself and my husband. Unless the bed is at a setting on 95 or 100 you are rolling to the edges or in the center on top of your partner. We got the cooling mattress and if anything it was 10x worst then our old spring mattress.
I can not express how furious I am at this whole process!!! We are on our 3rd sleep number bed, not because they don't last but we gave away our first bed to great friends, as it was 15 years old. Although we could still use it today we bought a P6 three years ago and is very happy with it. It is now our guest room bed. Our 3rd bed is an ILE and we love it. It has the 360 feature that automatically adjusts while you sleep. We bought the split king bed so the head portion of our bed can be divided. It does help with snoring a lot. One feature I love is the light under the bed when you get out of the bed, great for a night light to use the bathroom. It shouldn't wake up anyone else. Sleep number still offers a 100 day trial which is unique for the industry. These sleep number beds are really good if you suffer from joint pain or joint replacement. The initial set up fee, of $200, I totally get. After we received it, it was absolutely not a fit for my family at all. Called customer service, they would not budge on the $200 return fee. I offered to take the bed to the store and return it myself. Nothing. Called the store. Again, nothing. I could stomach the initial set up fee being gone, but I CANNOT stomach a "return fee" and flushing so much money down the drain when it was supposed to be "risk free." You better be 1000% sure before you pull the trigger to buy it and you are not going to need the 100 night policy.
