I took my kids (7 and 10) here for lunch today. They have never been to Red Robin and I’ve been served some good food here in the past. Unfortunately, today’s meal was terrible. The restaurant was not clean, and there was no hostess at the front when we entered (around 230 pm on a week day). She finally came and seated us at a table. An older waitress stopped by to take our drink order. She seemed to have a chip on our shoulder and walked away without asking if we were ready to order (we nearly were so I was hoping she’d just take our food order). She brought our water and said “I’ll come back to get your food order” and I said we are ready. She did not like this. We ordered. After each order she would wave her hand with the “come on” sign and say “and what else?” Ok, we are in a hurry now. My kids ordered pizza and corn dog bites off the kids menu. I ordered a chicken sandwich and asked to sub onion rings for fries. She said yes, and didn’t mention the upcharge although I know there usually is one. The kids meals included drinks so my daughter changed her drink from water to juice. She asked if she could bring us some appetizers to eat while we waited which seemed like an odd question to ask a dad and two children there for lunch. I declined. She slapped the juice on the table a minute later. I thanked her. She seemed angry. Then she left. She did not come back for around 40 mins and did so bringing our food. My chicken sandwich and onion rings were cold, and for some reason despite paying a $1.99 up charge I received only FOUR onion rings, two of which were tiny. My son enjoyed his corn dog bites although his serving of fries was small. My daughter’s pizza was listed as an “8 slice pizza” in the menu. It was around 5-6” around, as thick as a piece of cardboard, and cut into around 14 square pieces, which my daughter did not like. She said it was not good. She turned to her fries and for some reason, again, she was plated the tiniest serving of French fries I’ve seen in some time. Are potatoes and onions breaking this place? The waitress asked if she could bring us anything else. I pointed out I didn’t get any sauce for my onion rings, she asked what I wanted and asked what sauces they had. She didn’t know but came back with some sauce that she slapped down on the table so hard it spilled sauce. Ok then. We ate our miserly portions and then plates were all clear for 10-15 mins before she came back and asked if she could get us anything else. Maybe she had heard my daughter complaining because she said “maybe you’d like to order another side of fries?” I mean kudos to this lady for hammering us on appetizers and trying to squeeze another order of fries out of us just to feed my kids. Management should be proud, I guess. The only problem is the food wasn’t good and the stingy portions meant we weren’t full. Service was lousy enough I didn’t even feel like discussing it with our impatient, angry waitress. We went to this restaurant as a nice sit down alternative to the many fast food joints around, and it’s not like it was a crazy expensive meal but it was more expensive than a chicken sandwich, pan pizza, and corn dog bites would have been at fast food places and at least then the lousy attitude would have been a little more understandable. I was pretty disappointed. My daughter really didn’t enjoy her food and we had to get her something else to eat. Needless to say I don’t think I’ll eat at this Red...
Read moreI am sad to say that Frederick Red Robin location continues to disappoint. Yesterday We arrived around 1 and were a group of three. (Calling ahead was smart!!) We were seated quickly... to a dirty table and chairs. We then we’re not greeted by anyone in quite some time.... the server did not know the drink specials or what was on tap (we were in the bar section!!!). The food came out pretty quickly but none of us finished our meals because it was gross. Then we waited for a solid ten minutes for the server to come back with a check. Overall experience was very disappointing. The women’s bathroom was also gross… One stall was out of order, the second stall was clogged leaving only the third stall available for use and trash was overflowing. I tell you all of these things in hopes that management can address these issues. I have been to red robins throughout the country and I’ve never had two bad experiences like I have. Sorry to say Frederick red Robin but you have officially lost my business and I will go to the Hagerstown location going forward.
A group of four went around 1130 am on Saturday. The waitress’ attire was very unprofessional as her shirt was skin tight and see-through. The hostess was extremely rude multiple times. It was a rainy Saturday morning and the place was empty and there was no way to put our coats so we set it on the table next to us. At one point she walked by and asked if it was ours.; We said yes and asked we should move it and she said NO. Maybe 10 minutes later she walked by and grabbed our coats off the table, said I’m taking it to the front and walked off. My husband quickly got up and took the coats from her because they had a personal item such as wallets and phones. Shortly after we were very uncomfortable being there so I asked for the check & the waitress was rude by saying you’ve only been here for like five minutes (3/4 of us were done eating!). I said I’m in a cast and don’t feel well and need to go home. She then split the check when we didn’t ask her to and my friend’s card had issues and wasn’t approved so she then had to put the checks together, which if she’d asked she would have done that first. Overall it is extremely uncomfortable experience. I’d suggest going there for food (awesome burgers and chicken tortilla soup) but definitely...
Read moreIf I could give a 0 start… Just left and that was the absolute worst dining experience we’ve ever had anywhere. The host asked us to follow us to our table and left us standing in the middle of the dining room while she walked back to the kitchen. When she came back she escorted us to a different room in the restaurant as we stood there while they wiped down tables, the chairs were still dirty and after we asked them to clean they left us with wet chairs.
The server didn’t know the menu. When we asked for the Whisky River BBQ chicken sandwich he told me there was a wrap not a sandwich until I pointed it out on the menu. Two of the people at our table each ordered a wrap and he entered it as one, he thought they were going to split it and “wasn’t going to say anything”. We asked for napkins and were given one per person. He circled our table the entire time we were eating and filling out the tip on the tablet. none of the dirty dishes were pre-bussed. He tried to give us our checks before we were finished eating and checked on us every couple of minutes until we decided not to get dessert as we felt rushed out. We came in at 8:20 and their websites say they close at 11:00 so there was no reason we should have been continuously interrupted or rushed though our meal. All of our fries were cold but otherwise the food was ok. The dining room was dirty there were un-bussed tables everywhere while a group of employees stood by the host stand talking. On our way out we said “have a good night” but they did not break from their conversation to reciprocate.
Overall everything was awful. Dirty, didn’t know the menu, hovered, rushed us through our meal and our conversation and we were not acknowledged by employees. Very sad to see a restaurant we once loved look like this now. Will not return to...
