Maaan, this has to be THE Nastiest Waffle house. We purposely dined on Sunday after the usual morning rush so we could get seated easier since we were a bigger group. When we got there the restaurant was pretty empty only 2 families. We weren't greeted and had to ask if we could sit. When we ordered, Bea was our waitress. We got all our food however one person ordered a steak and eggs breakfast. The steak tasted old and rotten. The scambled eggs were over done. But we just let it go, that's when we noticed mold on the bread and couldn't believe it. They actually served that to someone and buttered it. When asked to remove that meal from the check the waitress said ok. But when she brought the check out it was all inflated and incorrect she priced meals wrong. So she then corrected it. Then presented another incorrect bill and stated that since the moldy toast was part of the meal and mold wasn't on everything in that meal that we should pay for it. Which is ridiculous 🙄 she finally came back with the correct amount and we promptly paid and left. Word to the wise, check your receipt against the menu Prices because since most things are written out you may blindly trust them....don't. Never go to this location, waffle house quality and sanitization has steadily declined and they have the audacity to have write on their door we should thank the workers who showed up to their job today...🙄 for some sh*t service and moldy...
Read moreWe walked in, and no one said anything to us, so we sat ourselves. I normally love Waffle House food, but this time, it was smaller portions than average and tasted off. Halfway through the meal, I noticed something green on our toast and realized it was mold! I showed it to the waitress, who was named Bea, and after telling me the bread was free and part of our sirloin meal, she agreed to take it off our bill. When the bill came, it was $20 higher than it should've been. I told the waitress something wasn't adding up, and she immediately said "Oh I made a mistake," before I even showed her the bill! She had charged us $15 for a $10 meal, and after she corrected it, she gave us a second bill that was still higher than it should've been. She went on to say that our Sirloin (the one she agreed to take off) cost $11. When I reminded her that she was supposed to remove that, she acted very confused and said, "The entire meal wasn't moldy." ....I couldn't believe it! My wife is pregnant, and eating moldy food could be dangerous. It made us question everything we ate that we overlooked. I demanded compensation, or I would talk to a manager who would be able to do so. I understand people make mistakes, but this waitress was clearly trying to put one over on us. Aside from that, the service was bad, and the bathrooms...
Read moreFood was good. The staff were amazing. So why only 1 star? Because of the physical restaurant itself. There wasn't really anywhere for someone in a wheelchair to be at a table. They did have a low counter that could have been an option (although not a good one for anyone who was part of a group.) But that was in the half of the restaurant blocked off (I'm assuming due to staffing shortages based on the signs.)
I'll be the first to admit that my being fat also didn't help. The booth was also tight and uncomfortable from that. So I also do not recommend that any larger individuals go with a plan to be seated at a table.
What really took it over the top was that there were a bunch of chairs with nowhere to use them. Why?
Simple fix is to have one (or even two) booths where one side of the table is left open to chairs. It's useful for a whole range of customers. Wheelchair users, fat people, people with other mobility issues, a parent with a stroller, etc.
Again, staff were great. Food was fine (my first time going to a Waffle House so not sure how it compares. Menu was limited compared to online, but that might have been a staff shortage thing too.) But I really doubt I'll...
