With the full understanding that it is a fast food restaurant open on Christmas Day, I would expect that they would have a more thought out plan for a busy day but that was not the case. We placed our order online again with the understanding that the order would take a while to be ready luckily that was not the case. The system said ready I’m 15 minutes perfect we thought. When we arrived their main door was open so we made our way in. Before I could get a word out an employee rudely says my lobby I close to which I respond I understand I’m here to pick up she says you’ll have to wait in the drive threw to which I said I will not be doing that as I placed my order online for pick up and no where online does it say I have to wait in the drive threw she then said repeats my lobby has been closed since 8. I then respond again nothing online nor on your door does it state that. She then rudely speaks to her employee (willing to go back to get his name because he was well manned) by saying I need large drinks the employee very nice turns to her and says they are right there she doesn’t even face him and says those are for a different person I need these now. He kindly says okay what do you need then turns my way and apologizes on her behalf. They continue to get our drinks in that moment another gentleman enters the door not one employee notices as they are busy when the lady’s notices she says out loud not directing it at anyone “my lobby is closed” and slams the door shut. She gets behind the counter and tell the employee this is ready the employee then hands me my order and says here you go let me get you some straws. I ask is everything in this one bag when say just double check since you already here which I do and i notice I’m missing two of my orders. I turn and say I’m missing chicken tenders. He leads towards me and ask in a low voice and by using his hands to ask me the amount (I’m guessing to not upset the other lady) and he asks the guys in the kitchen for the tenders. As I’m waiting for the tenders another lady coming back from her break walks in and rudely says my lobby I closed so which I answer I’m waiting on my order which she then raises her voice and says you’ll get your order my lobby is closed per policy you have to wait outside. The gentleman waiting behind me says I'm just checking on my order. She then says it’ll be to you soon. We then step out she walks my offer to me and her whole demeanor is completely different but as I was already upset I take my order walk away.
As a professional in Human Resources I would recommend they train their management team on how to speak to not only customers but more importantly their employees for a young man to have better manners and customer service than his management team is a disgrace. Again I understand this was a busy day but no employee should fear to ask a customer what they are missing nor should they have to use hand signals due to the lack of planning and manner from management. This is not my first bad experience at this location but it is one that stuck with me because if management is willing to treat their customers so rudely how do they treat their employees when customers are not around.
Lack of planning from management was the main factor. Had I listened to the lady and joined the long line in the drive through my food not only would been cold it would have been...

My son ordered a breakfast burger meal with orange juice, I wanted one of their biscuits, so I ordered a monster biscuit meal. When the young man asked if there was anything else, I interrupted my son, who was about to say, "no," and said, "yes, there is." My son leaned back so I could talk directly to the speaker: "I said, 'Do you think you could please tell my son, 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY,' today, since today is his birthday?'" A bit taken aback for only a moment, the young man quickly said "happy birthday!" and then, "How old are you? My son said "45." The young man replied, "25, ah, that's real nice." "No," my son said, "45." After a moment of silence, out of the speaker came: "Oh, I guess you are a really old 25!" We all laughed. And he said he would have our total at the window. After we pulled forward, we all laughed again, as we paid for our meal, got our drinks, and then our meal. We thanked the happy server with the great sense of humor. [I recalled one Thanksgiving evening with my daughter when we two were by ourselves for Thanksgiving (out of town) and no place for dinner. Everything was closed except Taco Bell. We went up to the drive-thru speaker, and I began the order: "'I asked for two turkey sandwiches, two sides of dressing and mashed potatoes, one pumpkin pie and one mince meat. 'Oh, yes,' I said, 'was it too late to get whipped cream on the pumpkin pie?'" Silence ensued. Then..."huh?"] Even after explaining the joke, the young woman didn't get it. I really think she should learn to laugh, but we just said we were sorry for the confusion.] Anyway, My son and I had a good laugh with the Carl's Jr. guy and ended up with a great tasting breakfast. He also cautioned us to be careful of the hot food. Thank you, to Carl's Jr. for my son's birthday wishes, and the good laugh. This Carl's Jr. usually has plenty of open parking spaces if you want to dine inside the restaurant. Inside is open and friendly appearing. Like any fast food place, I would like to see the restrooms a little cleaner, and sometimes the paper is is a bit of short supply. The people, here, however, have always treated me well, and have always responded to any request I have made of them. It seems to me, though, that this Carl's Jr. does have a bit of a reputation for being a bit slow. If you want to get through the line in the morning and you are in a real hurry--don't come here. If you want good food, this is the place. The place is handicapped accessible, with handicapped seating, and restroom facilities. Almost always, specials are posted in the windows for all to see, and when I need a minute or two to order, they are patient...
