Laboba — Restaurant in Marysville

Marysville is home to many boba shops that have their own audiences, and this one will not be one that I will enjoy. For being a “boba” shop it felt like the boba they use is cheap. Not sure if it was intended or not but the texture feels very undercooked. Not anything like I had ever had. The drink itself was okay, nothing out of the ordinary, but gosh that boba is like chewing on icky mucus you cough up when you’re sick.

The store itself is very dark not very much natural lighting, I see the appeal of it but it gets to a point where it’s too dark, I felt very sleepy just waiting for my order with how dark it is in there.

Parking - The parking here is terrible, it’s in a busy location where parking is shared with atleast 20 business in the area so good luck finding good parking near this shop, I had to park all the way near BECU just so I could park.

Positives - branding, they have variety of little plushies on that wall, I’m unsure if they are for sale but they are there! The little cow is pretty unique, and it is pretty cute!

I really hope the boba incident was just a one time thing, I really want to like this place and hope to find a new perspective of this place in the future, but as of now I will be sticking to sharetea and pochi for my...

Meh. I'm always excited to try a new bobba spot. I was hopefull when I first walked in. The place was clean, polished, and the branding is fun. That's where the goodness stops.

The crew was standing around wispering, with crossed arms and bitter looks on their faces. I felt less like a customer, and more like an inconvenience. Maybe their gossip session was more important. There wasn't a smile in the house.

I ordered a large blended taro with boba (lagre because they refuse to make small blended drinks), which should be impossible to mess up. It was chalky, had large chunks of ice, and the flavor seemed off (like they use the cheapest ingerdients they can).

LaBoba is easily one of my favorite boba spots. The drinks are consistently delicious, with a great selection of flavors and just the right balance of sweetness. The atmosphere is super chill and welcoming, perfect for studying, catching up with friends, or just unwinding. What really sets this place apart is the crew.
