Of all the Chick-fil-A experiences I've had, this one was the worst. The young girl at the counter was the best part! And she was a trainee. She was more attentive than the manager that was there.
First, after a long road trip I headed straight to restrooms. I usually go to Chick-fil-A when there's one around because the bathrooms are always clean and I can get a great snack. Unfortunately, the bathroom was a hot mess. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness and quite frankly shocked.
Then, I went to get in line and get my son a kids meal and a snack for myself. I noticed that there was only one Kiosk open which was fine because there was only one person in front of me. As someone in the restaurant industry myself, I notice all the little things. Usually Chick-fil-A hits the mark on checking them off in an amazing way.
Then, I kept watching as the line grew and noticed that the manager was leaning up against The back counter and this young girl who was a trainee was left alone.
At the same time, the floors were disgusting. I literally had stepped to the side to win on my food and stepped into a pile of strawberries and french fries near a table. Now, I've been in rushes where I've been short-staffed and I completely understand when that happens, but this was not the case. They were not short-staffed. The Manager on shift just was not paying attention to the condition of the dining room at all and joking around with his team. There was no one sweeping or cleaning happening anywhere in the dining room. I looked around and noticed that there were French fries and messes on and around other tables as well.
When my name was called to get my food, the young lady just put it on a shelf and didn't even look to see if I was waiting on it in the lobby. She called my name, set my food down, and walked away. This is not what I expect from Chick-fil-A. I was never asked if I wanted dip for my child's chicken nuggets for his french fries. I also had to get my own fork on the other side of the store because there was not one in the bag with my macaroni and cheese. These little details are what make this company what it is, and the store is not a good representation of the overall culture that I admire Chick-fil-A to have.
As I said, this is very disappointing trip to Chick-fil-A. I would encourage owners to consider their help and make some corrections so that this doesn't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ate at the chick-fil-a at 1767 W Broadway Ave in Maryville yesterday. It took at least 20 min to get through the drive-through line and get my food. Once i got to the window, they told me they were all out of chicken noodle soup. Then i watched 2 teenagers who were filling my bag spill my large fries all over the counter next to the cash register when they were trying to put them into the box. They started laughing about spilling the fries everywhere. They then proceeded to pick them up with both hands and stuff them into the box. I don't think that is very sanitary. I'm sure the counter next to the cash register is not the cleanest, and teenagers touching all my fries with their dirty hands is very gross. They should've thrown them away and got me fresh fries this time taking care not to spill them all over the counter.
This location is not the best managed. They seem to have had trouble finding good help and it shows in the quality of food they serve. The fries at this location are hit or miss. About 50% of the time the fries are soggy and not crisp or fresh.
I will be driving to the other side of town to the Hunters Crossing location in Alcoa the next time i eat at chick-fil-a until this location at W Broadway Ave gets their act together. At least at the hunters crossing location I've never seen them spill all of my fries on a dirty counter then pick them up one by one with dirty hands and put them into the box. That is disgusting and...
Ā Ā Ā Read more12/4/22 EDIT: Service at this Chick-fil-A is awful. The wait time in the drive-thru is unbelievable, and once in the line there's NO way out! Last night though topped any other visits wait time. I ordered quickly from a very friendly employee, but then I waited over 20 mins for food and another 10 mins in line after I received my food. Both lanes were at a stand still and did not move for 30 mins. Everyone in the other 11 cars behind the front 2, had been brought their orders however we could not get out. I finally called the manager on duty to inquire about the hold up. His answer, "they were waiting on their food." I said, my food is getting cold, can you move them to the side or have them pull around front, so the other 11 cars that have our food can get out of here? Another 2 mins, and he had one pull up and the other received their food. While I, and the other 11, took home cold food. Blah!
I know someone from CFA will put up a canned response of wanting to make things better... Simple, train your managers and asst. managers to keep traffic moving this isn't the first time this happened, never this long. Move customers with large/difficult orders to the side or around front to wait for their food. A customer should not have to call in and tell a manager how to get things moving.
