First of all this, in my opinion, is the only local Chinese buffet that I’m aware of. We went twice. The first time was to try the actual buffet, and it was only at the end of our visit that we realized there’s a grill area. So we went back a second time.
Secondly, the service is always impeccable.
Third the selection is quite expansive which is always a good thing.
I’m going to go backwards from the perspective that the dessert bar is quite wonderful.
I love the different fruits, cookies and pastries, and they do mix it up because it was different between both visits.
I know this is going to sound silly? But I loved the ice cream. The ability to just get a little Taste of chocolate/vanilla twist was fun.
Now, having said that the variety of seafood was quite the array! The vegetables, rice, chicken dishes. It is everything you could expect it to be.
Not gonna lie, even though they turn the food over very quickly? Some of the dishes like the bone in sparerib were a little bit tough. One of the chicken dishes I think it was the chicken pepper was a little bit dry. Again, take it for what it’s worth. It’s a buffet and again in all fairness they flipped that food over very quickly. It didn’t last very long.
If you’re in the mood to just come in, pay one price to sample all the dishes, including by the way, the sushi bar. Plus the grill bar. Plus the fruits and the cookies and the desserts?
Not to mention, I’ll repeat? The seafood. It was actually quite good. I give it a 4 just from the simple perspective of you’ve got food that sits out on the buffet, and the longer it sits sometimes, not always, though, it could cook a little too much.
I will say that I was able to get some of the salmon as soon as they brought it out and it was very good, thick well cooked.
My personal favorites were the fried biscuits, fried wonton (I would say crab Rangoon but no crab). I really enjoyed the shrimp sticks. The little baby clams were very good. Nothing was too fishy at all. So they did a really good job. Some of the chicken and the rib dishes? I think they were a little bit dry or tough, but it wasn’t bad by any means.
I would say for a Chinese buffet? Highly recommend visiting though please note on a Saturday and Sunday I believe it is $27.99 a person all you could eat.
Oh, I almost forgot! They also make custom-made soup bowls, which were quite good and I personally enjoyed the grill this visit. I did steak, chicken, baby shrimps, mushrooms, onions, sprouts, carrots, and a garlic sauce, and the grilled staff did an amazing job with it.
Having settle of this? I recommend it.
You can’t beat it as far as Price and the huge variety of food they have for you to select from. There’s no limit it’s all you could eat! That means you can have the bowl of soup, the grill, or any of the variety of buffet that I’m about to share pictures of.
To be honest, the place was packed! People were walking around with crabs and clams piled up on their plates! So that should tell you something.
My favorite is always going to be a beach seafood buffet. But for a change, this is not a bad option...
Read moreI'm really sad to have to write this review.
The restaurant has severely fallen in food quality. At least during the week, every time I've gone during dinner time, I've noticed that they leave old food out and don't even try to make it look nice for the dinner rush. Leaving food out for a few hours isn't necessarily a problem, but it gets left out for so long that the food looks either dried out or rancid. I went with my family a couple of days ago for dinner one day this week at around 6:30 or 7 PM, and the sushi bar was full of old torn up and nasty looking sushi. like sushi that had been picked at and someone just re-plated it or something. For a while now, for about the last 6-7 months, I've noticed that even the noodles haven't been fresh, even when it's lunch rush instead of dinner and especially during the weekend rush. The noodles are always heavily covered in oil and it has drastically changed the flavor of my favorite noodles. They were my favorite noodles from any Asian restaurant, and now I don't even bother getting them anymore. They also have cheaped out on the dumplings too. They used to serve good quality delicious dumplings, but have now started using these severely low quality smaller dumplings that I'm pretty sure are frozen dumplings I can find at my local Aldi. I know because I used to buy them, and the tastes between the Aldi brand and the ones the restaurant use taste extremely similar in it's poor taste and quality. In addition to all of this, and what makes it so bad, is that I recommended this restaurant to a friend and he went to try it. He got the crab and butter with the crunchy cheese on top, and when he was about to eat it, he noticed that the crab was rancid/spoiled and that there was a strange odor coming form them.
I'm not going to give this place a 1 star review because I'm holding out hope that it will get better. I don't know if there was a change in management or a loss in profit but I really used to love this place and I came here with my dad every Saturday ever since I was 13 or 14. If it's a loss in profit then they should maybe serve less food with better quality. I'd rather have less options that taste amazing over more options that leave me disappointed every time I eat there. Hoping this restaurant can turn around and get back to it's...
Read moreWe went there for the first time one evening last week with my family to celebrate my daughter's birthday and try this new place. I was impressed with the cleanliness. There wasn't a big crowd which at first was a good thing... no wait.
Then I realized when we all sat down with our food that it was not hot. The crab was dipped in some white sauce that was not easy to hold and eat. It was more squishy than crunchy. We ended up discarding most of everything and trying new things.
A few minutes later, my son started coughing so much to the point that the waitress came and gave him a cough drop. He was sick and missed school the next day.
I think this was all because the buffet business needs to have lots if customers constantly coming and going to justify putting new food to be put out and obviously if there is less customers, and the food sits for a while, you can't just dump it in the trash and keep making new batch which may also sit. How do you balance it?? that is the great mystery... We don't plan to go back. I don't know how to justify that either because after paying $75 for 5 people, it's not like anyone enjoyed it. I would love to patronize local businesses but it can't be hit or miss everytime... and literally, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
I am only rating the food here. The staff was extremely nice and the place was clean. The one star is to cover that. If it wasn't for the food, I would give it 4...
