The service was a solid 5 stars for sure, but the food was overall a 4-4.5. It’s a decent breakfast buffet and luckily the hotel package we booked with Costco came with a daily breakfast (which is normally around $36 per person). I’ll be completely honest here, if it weren’t for the included breakfast, we wouldn’t have paid to eat here. There are much better and MUCH cheaper breakfast options you could find near the resort. It’s a great place to eat if it’s already included in your hotel booking and it was incredibly convenient since they started serving breakfast as early as 6:30AM. The food options could’ve been better and the best part was probably all the delicious pineapples at the fruit bar. The staff at the breakfast area were all cordial and went above and beyond in service.
If you want something other than coffee, you could also ask your waiter for fresh squeezed orange, guava, or pineapple juice. They’re even nice enough to put it in a to go cup if you want to take it with you — we ended up putting it in our hotel room fridge and drank it after we finished swimming at the beach. Overall amazing service and...
Read moreWe booked a stay through Costco so we got complimentary breakfast for 2 adults ( around $36 per person). For kids, they charge based on the age (It was 8 dollars for an 8-year-old son). For a complimentary breakfast buffet, we liked the spread. We enjoyed the amazing ambiance and the service was good. coffee/juices were served to the table. The buffet starts at 6:30 am.
Mask is mandatory when we pick the food. They also mandate fresh disposable gloves to pick food.
Loved the juicy pineapples at the fruit bar.
Being a vegetarian we had fewer options but everything that was on the menu tasted good.
Bread pudding in the everyday buffet is one of my favorite.
Every day they had boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, cheese omelette, veggie omelette. Some days I saw frittata
daily they alternated pancake and waffle
also daily they have a pastry section with freshly baked croissants, muffin (blueberry /chocolate), rolls (almond/cinnamon), bread (banana /carrot), danish (coconut/pineapple, etc.)
In addition to these, they had whole apple, oranges, cereal...
Read moreIt's a beautiful setting though dated. They will be renovating the hotel over the next year we hear so I suspect it will be spectacular in 2021. Cost is $32 pp. The food looks better than it tastes for the most part. Standouts were the macadamia muffin, the fresh Papaya, and the Portuguese omlette. The French toast sounded great (coconut french toast) but was hohum. The coffee was below average for the island. The service was great. There used to be an Omlette station when we stayed here about 15-20 years ago but no more. Is it worth $75 a couple? No. We came because we liked it it years ago and wanted to see and experience again. I do think it will be worth a trip once they renovate the place , especially if they improved the food and bring back the Omlette station (they need to improve the taste and selection of all their food and I suspect they are holding back to save money for the time during which everything...
