Great food and great service! I saw that they had opened up in the Habitap location and decided to check it out. I’m glad I did. When I first got in they let me know they were having a few issues with their Spectrum WiFi (shocker) and could only take cash unfortunately. They had a ton of TVs, some working with DirecTV and some not. It looked like a great place to watch a game and will definitely be coming back for one. After getting seating I had the opportunity to meet the owner, Nick. He apologized profusely for the inconvenience of having to pay cash for my first time there. It was nice to see how much he cared about my satisfaction and being there. I had some meat lovers pizza and a gyro. The pizza was amazing. You can taste that the crust and sauce was house made and the meats and cheese were high quality. Overall 9/10. I think I’m used to some of the not so natural additives and higher sugars in other pizzas, otherwise it would be higher. I don’t get gyros often but Nick offered to make me one for free given the circumstances and I accepted. It was the best gyro I have had. The meat tasted great, perfectly cooked and well seasoned, you could taste that the pita was also homemade, and the sauce was incredible. He added some fries on it as well with some season and that really topped it off. This will be my go to dish when I come back. 9.5/10 (I wish I had some more sauce to dip it in but forgot to ask). I will definitely be coming back, especially living just down the road. This will be my go to pizza and gyro stop...
Read moreDecided to visit Kouzina for lunch on Saturday as I was in the mood for a classic gyro sandwhich. Suprisingly, their sandwich was not the classic beef/lamb combo but rather seasoned rotisserie pork which was shaved into small pieces and piled onto pita bread. It was accompanied by sliced tomato, diced red onion and topped with tzatziki sauce which was applied sparingly. It came with french fries which I opted to have on the side. At $14 there are other Greek style restaurants in the area offering the classic gyro for a few dollars less.
While the sandwhich was tasty enough it didn’t quite ring my bell, perhaps because it was not what I had expected. The restaurant is cavernous with ample seating and a large bar. My server, “Annalee” was pleasant and attentive.
I got an order of spanakopita (spinach/cheese pie) to go which was quite thick although not large, but enough to provide a small piece each for two people. I thought $9.00 was a bit high for this serving. The restaurant appears to have a selection of specialty pizzas which I noticed several tables had ordered. I may sample one of their pizzas when in the area again but would not make a special...
