El Navegante 2 Seafood Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Greenville

To start off, we got told the wait time is 30 min when clearly there wasn’t any room for a big party. We had a party of 10. I work in a restaurant so the appropriate time should have been an hour or an hour and a half. Well we waited 1.5 hours since my dad wanted to try it out and everyone said it was amazing. Then they said the kitchen was backed up which is understandable but mind you we already waited for an hour and a half. So we waited another 40 min for food. The food was terrible. Small portions with non seafood items and everything was cold. The food had no flavor and I had asked for rice only but got both rice and beans. My brother got chicken tenders and they were overcooked so we asked for new ones and they still were overcooked. The server was kind of rude to begin with and like showed up twice to see if we were okay. I had to go ask for the check and asked for the itemized receipt we saw that the gratuity was already included, no where on the menu says that gratuity would already be included. What is the whole point to have an extensive menu when the kitchen can’t keep up. Never coming back...

I think this place is way over priced. I really don't mind spending money on good food that taste amazing, but I think I could've gotten the same dish for $25+ dollars less. The food tasted the same as other Mexican restaurants in the area, no difference whatsoever. We got there at 4:05pm on a sunday and I got my food by 6pm and I was so full of chips and salsa and the tostadas that I couldn't even eat my food and had to take it home. The ambiance is kinda nice but I'm not really into live music places if I'm just gonna eat and talk with friends, I couldn't really hear them cause the Mariachi's were next to us playing really loud. But if you're into that you'll love it. My summary is: If you're willing to pay $50+ for a plate of carne asada, chicken and shrimp with rice and tortillas, then go for it. But if you wanna get the same plate for cheaper go somewhere else cause the taste is the same. Ps The piña coladas are $10 and they're not spiked. And the menus don't have the real price or don't even say the price. So make sure to ask them....

Horrible service - no person to receive customers, we were waiting at least 15 mins, and the place wasn't busy at all; empty tables, a lot of idle servers standing on a corner, laughing, doing nothing... We were given a table next to another couple that were already asking for the check.. server stayed there talking with them for 20 mins (supposed to take care of us as well), she completely ignored us until upset I called her out, told me she is coming back after finishing with them, comes back with the change, guess what? she stays there talking with them again, she of course did it on purpose... Called her again, finally gets our order, freaking food took forever, we didn't leave because at least we had our drinks... Food arrived, and she messed up my order, blaming the cook, NEVER apologized, she asks me if I'd take it, REALLY?!? Wait for my wife to finish her food (nothing exceptional btw), and left... Do yourself a favor and don't go there... We are not coming back, and tell everybody we know never...
