I had been randomly being spammed with ads for Tato's Pizza. After a half-dozen times, I took a better look and realized that it was not an ordinary pizza joint. I browsed the menu and I was pleasantly surprised that there was such a wide variety of food from pizza, to hamburgers, to soups, to steak, to sandwiches, and probably other culinary things I didn't catch. I grabbed my husband on Monday evening and decided to try Tato's. Afterall, it's only a 10 minute drive from us. We arrived and were immediately greeted and sat down with a menu. Instead of chips and salsa on the table, we had a handful of 2" potato flour rinds, which we did not like. To be honest, the menu has so much to offer (in a great way!) that I was a bit overwhelmed as a first -time visitor. First of all, the owners are Cololmbian and the majority of the menu has a touch of ethnic flavor which we loved. We ordered and shared a chicken pizza with artichokes and spinach. The seasoning was amazing. The crust alone was to die for. It was thin, crispy, and sweet. We also ordered another Colombian dish that had smashed plantains covered with one layer each of pulled beef and pulled chicken. Of course anyone can make that at home but it was the special spices and cooking method that made it just WOW! For a treat, the server approached every table and offered a cinnamon baked pastry, much like a churro. The owner was present while we were there and it all ran smoothly. The restaurant was dated but very, very clean. The prices are standard and matching any other restaurant in the area. Not cheap but not expensive. You get a lot of food for your money. We have dined there twice in the past two weeks and will continue to...
Read moreMy first time discovering this place. I was pretty excited about it because Columbia food is about my favorite, how could a Columbian pizza place go wrong?
The pizza in the pictures looks delicious so I ordered a Gyro meat pizza as well as a Colombian pizza. Although I suffered a very severe communication barrier with the staff, I was able to get an order placed and get it paid for. Staff was very friendly.
The pizza was well, quite disappointing. Both were extremely light on toppings. They looked nothing like the pizzas pictured here. They had waytoo much cheese on them. With only a trace amount of sauce. The crust was quite unremarkable and maybe all of this dough was purchased pre-made and formed?
I found this quite confusing. My food was nothing like what I was expecting to get some reviews on . It appeared to me that the restaurant was newly opened based off of the decorations and setting up that I saw going on outside. I asked one of the girls how long the restaurant had been open and she couldn’t tell me. I had assumed that she didn’t understand the question I was asking.
There’s another review that the owner has recently changed in the past month, which would explain...
Read moreOk, read a lot of good reviews on here about this place. So my wife and I were happy because it is 2 streets over from our house. We decided to try it out on Saturday 5/1. We ordered a pepperoni large pizza, Greek salad, chicken Ceasars salad. 7 piece wings with teriyaki sauce 2 empanadas, 1 chicken, 1 beef. Let me start with the pizza, it was gross, hardly no pepperoni on it, so much cheese, the cheese on top was melted. But the layers underneath weren't, little to no sauce. Both salads were just a bunch of lettuce cut up with cucumber and croutons, not even close. The 7 pc. wings were overcooked, and they were swimming in so much teriyaki sauce, that's all you could taste. We ended up, eating 2 pieces of the pizza, tossing the rest, ate 3 wings throwing the others out, salads ate some tossed the rest. The empenadas were ok. I don't they know the difference between the salads on their menu. And whoever is making their pizza, I woukd fire. We spent 56 bucks and could hardly eat the food. My wife keeps reminding me that we are not in boston anymore and the pizza in the south is different. I don't think that should matter. If your business is pizza, you should know...
