Moonstruck & Monograms — Local services in Mauldin

Do business with Moonstruck and Monograms in Mauldin at your own peril. I have never encounter such absolute dishonesty. I had purchased two bags from the original owner and paid for monogramming. It was a gift and I took the bags knowing I would return them later to monogram. When I did return, the store had been sold to the monogramming person. I was told I would be required to pay again for the monogram. I did. I went to pick them up Saturday and they had monogrammed on the top and flap of the cooler, furthermore, the color monogram they suggested did not even show on the other bag. I walked out very disappointed and by the time I got to my car, I decided I could not accept this work. I went back inside and the owner, who had been standing there with another customer during the previous exchange, turns around and agrees the work was subpar and she would not want anyone to associate her store with it. She would either find the same bags and fix them or I could pick out new ones. They would call me on Monday to let me know which would be the case. Today, “I” finally called and was informed they had found the cooler but would not replace the one that the monogram doesn’t show. First , she allowed me to walk out of her store with poor craftsmanship, only agreed to do something about it when I complained in front of another customer and now she isn’t even honoring her offer. I guess the new ownership is not for the best! So so very disappointed. I hate putting negative vibes out there but I don’t want anyone else to fall prey to the deception. Had a great experience here recently, I came in needing to have a couple of Christmas stockings embroidered, they were able to find the font that matched my others at home, wasn’t sure if it would be ready for Christmas but I got a call within a few days that my order was ready!! A very neat little store with a variety of different "gifty" types of items. We visit about twice a year when in the area and always find something. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, very friendly - the owners are around often and take pride in their store.
