Main Street Tattoo — Attraction in Mauldin

Today I got my very first tattoo! I'm so happy!! I've received so many compliments already and it's not even 24 hours old. I find myself looking at it when I walk past the mirror. Now I'm practicing my fake humble I want you to see my new tattoo response "what?! oh for real, you saw my NEWWWW tattoo?!😮"

Main Street Tattoo in Mauldin SC is a comfortable, CLEAN, and welcoming place to get your first OR next tattoo. When I scheduled my appointment Rex walked me through the process and answered all of my questions. I received an appointment reminder 3 days prior then again the day before. I observed multiple working artists interacting with their clients like they were old friends, listening intently to their requests for their personalized masterpieces.

As much as I want to, I'll refrain from writing a book about my experience and I'll tell you to give anyone of their amazing artists a try. I'm not sure why there were any negative reviews to begin with but I'm so happy not a single one of them deterred me from this bucket list experience.

Thomas James... thank you again for my memorial tattoo on what would have been my Father's 85th birthday. My Father and Mother's Handwriting came out beautifully... I absolutely love it!

Although this was my first visit to this shop, I've had a couple of pieces done by Alysia, who has done some incredible work!

Most recently, I had a very tight schedule for a new piece I wanted completed with a friend who was visiting from out-of-state and Thomas James was the only artist available for the time slot.

Let me tell you, that man killed it! Thomas did highly-accurate line work, was not heavy-handed in the slightest, and was very thorough. He was a genuinely kind person and I don't believe it is possible to praise this man enough!

The shop minimums were reasonable and the establishment was clean, well-maintained, and was filled with unique and beautiful art pieces everywhere! The artists' booths were decorated by the artist and showcased their personalities and unique art styles.

I've been to several shops over the years, including some high-profile shops, like The Ink Factory in Dublin, IR. This place has been, by far, my favorite and I'm already planning a return visit for additional pieces very soon.

If you're looking for a great shop, reasonable pricing, and highly skilled artists in a variety of styles, look no further! Main Street Tattoo in Mauldin, SC will have my repeat business and my personal recommendation to friends, family and all of you strangers on the inter-webs.

I was recommended to check out Main Street Tattoo - specifically the Mauldin location.

I've been to dozens of tattoo shops throughout the united states. I've quite a few pieces from different tattoo shops all over the united states California, DC, NY, etc, some work done in short a session and some with multiple long sessions.

While attempting to discuss artist selection with the person behind the first divided counter - "we don't have any artists books in the shop. All the work is online..."

While trying ask a suggestion for an artist to talk about an idea for an artistic custom lettering piece (after all tattoo is art isn't it?), I was interrupted again, "Anyone can do lettering anywhere, just go onto [some suggested website] and pick out a font. Anyone can do lettering anywhere."

So much for discussing collaboration. Remember, picking a tattoo artist isn't picking celebrity.

I guess this is your shop customer service. This was the first tattoo shop to ever be rude to me. I was in store for less than 3 minutes.
