China House Restaurant — Restaurant in Maumee

I work in a physician's office very close to China House. We ordered there for lunch about a month ago due to it being so close and it was very good and the staff was pleasant. We decided to order again today, as again the ease of pick up and the food is very good. We ordered over the phone, using their number system from their menu and sent one of our employees to pick it up. When she brought the food back there were two orders that were wrong. After calling to let them know we received the wrong order whomever picked up the phone was rude and hung up the phone before the end of the call. When the same employee went back to pick up the correct order the man at the counter said he would not make it unless we paid for them, even though we already paid for food we did not order. She said he was very rude to her and she ended up paying for the correct orders. We have a staff of 10 and it could have been a twice or more a month order. It is unfortunate that we will never order there again as the food is at least a 4 star but the customer...

This is the worst place I have ever called on for service while traveling. my order came to $9.20 and the lady kept telling me I needed to spend $10, so I did and then I used a coupon for 10% off and was told I had to order something else to make it $10. She was very unreasonable, rude and just plain ignorant. After about 30 sec, I asked her did she really want to lose a customer over 90 cents when they are located right across the street from my hotel. She just kept saying 10 dollar...10 dollar. Finally I said it's not worth the headache. I am one person, I ordered what I wanted to eat and then some and still she could not see reason. As much as I travel I will say I will never go to or order from the China House ever and all my business associates will be fore warned. I can deal with mediocre food, but I can't deal with bullies...

I love Chinese food and have tried many places around town. Construction has blocked my pathway to conveniently get to my favorite food spots. The people here didn't give me any issues and they are quick. However, if you love Chinese like I do its extremely flavorless. I ordered pepper steak assuming nobody could mess that up! They didn't mess it up but they didn't spice it up either. I like places that add water chestnuts, bamboo shoots and flavor. The meat at this place I could chew for days.
