I was in the process of removing my carpet and tile to have luxury vinyl planks installed in my home. My Dyson upright of 24 years was holding together by a little remaining piece of plastic on the bin assembly. I knew I wanted a new vacuum for my new floors, so I sent a text to my brother, the owner of Maumee Sweeper Center and asked him which vacuum brand he recommended for hard floors. I told him I wanted a vacuum that would last me 20+ years like my Dyson. John recommended the Miele canister pure suction classic homecare as they were made specifically for hard surfaces. He told me that it had a 10 year warranty for major components and 5 years for the rest. He told me to check it out on the web. Iāve never used a canister vacuum, so I looked it up on the web, read some reviews, and took his advice. John said he would check to see if it could be shipped directly to me as I live in Arizona. I received the vacuum the next week. Since our flooring was being removed, it created a lot of dust and had pieces of cracked concrete in areas. I put this little vacuum to use! I couldnāt believe the amount of suction power it had. I am really impressed with the Miele homecare canister vacuum. It is really lightweight and easy to use and carry. I have used all the attachments and the different adjustments on the hose assembly. You had my Dyson in the back for 15-20 minutes while Kelly gave me a FULL sales pitch that included a demonstration for a Miele vacuum. I fully explained to Kelly what the probem was with my Dyson as I had done all the troubleshooting that was offered. I only needed to know whether it was the turbine motor itself or the electrical connection to the head and how much it woukd cost to repair it. Kelly led me to believe that you would be able to determine that if I brought it in. You also removed my comment about getting my wand mixed up. You did not give me back MY Dyson wand but gave me the wand of a much used and abused Dyson.
What a waste of time!! And gas!! I was led to believe over the phone that Don? or John? would look at my vacuum and diagnose the problem and tell me if it's fixable. He didn't do anything and didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. While he had my vacuum in the back for way too long for doing nothing, I was given a sales pitch on a new vacuum.
